They hover and are very annoying when it comes to 1 shot wait a few seconds and shoot again. I believe you train how you fight, I don’t think a bad guy is going to wait for me to make sure I fire count a couple seconds and fire again. The old man was standing behind us the entire time both in the shooting range and watching us on the other side of glass. Felt like I was 10 years old again and my dad was breathing down my neck watching every little thing I did. Was not a comfortable learning environment for my wife who doesn’t have as much experience shooting as I do. When we were done I asked the other old guy at the counter why we were being watched like that he said “we get a bunch of idiots and just have to make sure people follow the rules.” After some back and forth asking if we did anything wrong and him answering no and then me asking well then why did that guy watch us like that he stuck to his original answer. Idk I’m grown I don’t need someone holding my hand making my wife feel uncomfortable if she squeezes off a round .000000005 seconds to close to her last round. I got a membership out there in London at the outdoor range it’s laid back no one bothers you, you can shoot your weapon how you see fit as long as you’re safe. I’ll never go back to madriver.

Never been to an indoor range before, only ever shot outside. Decided to try this place today. The staff was awesome, very friendly and helpful. After watching their range video one of the guys went over it with me and got me set up on a lane in no time.
Fun experience, plan on going back frequently. Would recommend to any one in the Springfield area.

Been shooting here for years. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. A great place to shoot and just talk guns! This business is an asset to Springfield.

Nice enough range if you are a beginning shooter. However, if you are a more advanced shooter and want to hone your defensive skills and don'twant to be accused of showing off, you will want to go to another range.

I had recently purchased some new hand guns and I was really looking forward to trying them out. I had not been to thus range in a bit so I did the safety video and answered the questions before using the range. Safety is very high on the list here and I am glad about that. The cost for the whole day is very fair. The facility is nice and very comfortable to use. I was very happy with the range overall and will be back with some fire arms.

I have been to this range a few times for about a year. I found Mad river to be one of the best ranges if you plainly want to just shoot guns. They accept many calibers but no pellets like 00 buck and no green tip ammo. Plus no steel core ammo. Good pricing since the fee allows you to be there for as long as you want if there is no line. Plus, rental fee carries over, so you pay once then switch the rental whenever you want, just pay ammo. Great range and I love coming there for a fun time.

All the staff was friendly, super helpful, and had answers for all of my questions regarding handgun accessories as well as the gun range rules & pricing etc. I highly recommend anyone in the area check them out. I can't wait to return & rent out a wide selection of handguns to try out on their shooting range. Very affordable & reasonable prices. They also offer classes for beginners that are very reasonably priced! I will be buying a membership soon!

I will never walk back in that place I was treated like a dog I had pass good for 5 times to shoot when I used 3 times on 4 time they took the pass said it was no good ????
