Probably one of the worst automated phone systems and customer service teams I've ever experienced in my life. I wish this company would improve their systems or another company come in and replace them.

I have called several times to get my bill fixed, and now I'm getting texts saying my bill is late even though it is paid. I was told to pay a certain amount well I did that but I'm still receiving messages from them saying it is late and they are asking for more money.

My bill has been over 400$ every month since moving into my new home. There’s no way I’m coming close to using that amount of power. Something is definitely wrong.

Nothing beats waking up to a power outage on the regular. I just love moist humid uncomfortable mornings in the summer waking up to no power. No food. No shower. Mmmm thanks Ohio Edison ❤️

We’ve had ohio edison for a little over a year now. It has been nothing but lies after lies and now it’s going to cost us thousands of dollars due to one of their lies. I would switch to someone else if I could but since it’s their territory I can’t. Tell me again how this isn’t a monopoly

I've been w this company 13 years and the worst customer service. They make you scared of your power being shut off and won't offer a decent payment plan. They threatened me over $35 and when you ask for a manager, conveniently their unavailable. Everytime. There should be a petition to shut them down and get better service

I ment to give this company only one star, which they deserve, but texting on a cellphone is difficult for an elderly handicapped vet. Anyway, this company lies a lot. My bills states: "Actual Reading" which is a lie. I called and asked what date are they coming to read my meter? The 21 of November, 2022 they said. I stayed up all day and even had my camera on. No one came. Yet my high bill gave that day as an "Actual Reading." I even have solar panels installed and live alone in a small home and yet why do I pay so much money for lies?

Spent 1.5 hours and 7 hold times with customer service while they tried to make their mistake of withdrawing $309 extra dollars out of my account my fault and when they could not make it my fault they said my bank would have to fix it because they already have my money

Avoid at all costs. Due to a recent winter storm we had an underground electrical wire break. We're currently without water and heat is intermittent at best. Edison told us that we are responsible for underground wire repair costs...Calling around to other providers such as Duke and AES-Ohio, they stated that their company would cover all costs for underground repairs. We happen to be stuck with the one provider who is finding ways to provide a lack of service coverage to its customers.I don't know what happened but 5 years ago, there was legislation protecting customers from paying for utility expenses like this. It didn't take long for Edison to take advantage of that no longer being the case.

Sends people to replace WORKING electrical components at 1am and 3am. Leaves diesel truck running for hours parked outside houses with full lights on. I understand maintenance is necessary, but if it's all working, why at 1am and 3am waking up the entire neighborhood. Not to mention the resulting power surge fried my husband's CPU motherboard....Thanks for the heads up!

Had a service date of Friday, September 2 before 5pm for our brand new house.Here it is, Saturday September 3rd (labor day weekend) and we still have yet to see someone come start our service.We called twice on Friday. The first time was around 3:30p just to check to see if we could get an estimated time on when the meter reader would arrive. The representative told us they were done reading at 5p and if we didn't get serviced by that point we needed to call back and schedule a time but we should be the next stop.Well, 5:10p rolls around so we call again to a schedule a service time. This representative called a meter supervisor to check up on the service. This representative said we should get our services started before 8:00pm.NO ONE SHOWED UP!!This has been a major inconvenience for my family as we are supposed to be out of our rental on Monday. The situation has added unnecessary stress to an already stressful situation.What an awfully great first impression, Ohio Edison. Doing so good ???

Worst service ever. If I could give zero stars I would. Just had to deal with a power outage for well over 12 hours. They said it wasn't their problem. Which it was. The guy they sent out was rude from the moment he banged on my door. Poor service. Completely trashy attitude from the guy they sent out.

If I could give a zero I would. HORRIBLE service. Outages for no reason sometimes multiple times a week. I miss dp&l so much right now, as I'm sitting in the dark, HOT house, can't sleep and have to work in the A.M. Thanks Ohio Edison, you guys really make the 400 dollars a month worth it. Not.
