Just an amazing place. The atmosphere is superb, service is incredible too. The food is just perfection too. This is a one of a kind place that is a hidden gem. The owner, Teresa, makes you feel at home too. With all of the history and culture this venue provides, it is a great way to spend a day or a weekend!!!Rooms: Stay in the main house if possible. Each room is unique and amazing. It's traveling back in time to a simpler time.

Had a great Christmas dinner here. Separate dining rooms for parties. So you have your own private dinner. Very nice.

Had a racist experience here. Me and my husband (both black) came to enjoy their breakfast and there was a physician who came to celebrate his bday with his family. He told the server to give everyone in the room a piece of cake to celebrate with him. It was only one other large table with about 8 guest (all white). She passed the cake out to them first, making sure everyone got a slice. There was enough for me and my husband to have a slice each and still leftover, she came over with a piece and scoffed rudely. “Here. You guys can share a piece.” That’s NOT what the Dr. Told them to do let me make that clear. He was kind and generous and this rude server took it upon herself to decide that we deserved less than everyone else. I will NEVER come back to this establishment. That physician is one of my Dr.s and when I told him what they did he was very disappointed.

I am originally from this area. I left many years ago to serve my country with the US Air Force, and decided this year to come back home for thanksgiving and rekindle relationships with family members whom i have not seen since i have left.I chose to book with simon kenton inn, due to their ad for the secluded cabin, breakfast included, etc.. for my wife and myself. We booked weeks in advance for a certain price, which i agreed with at the time. I never received a confirmation at time of reservation in my email.Weeks later, and a 14 hour drive later from Mississippi, we arrive to check in. The rate had changed from the agreed upon rate. They charged me way more. A laughable amount for what was offered. But i paid anyway. Straw 1.The next morning we arrive for breakfast, to find no real breakfast. Serve-yourself coffee and shoddy “breakfast” offering table with various pastries and fruits, some hard boiled eggs.. over half empty (mainly crumbs) cereal containers. After what i paid in room rate, it definitely should have been a made to order breakfast or at least a HOT breakfast. We decided straw 2 was enough for the camels back, and decided to check out that day, ending the remainder of our stay.Whoever this lady was, she absolutely would not refund us for the remaining 3 nights, and insisted in charging us for 2 nights even though we stayed 1 night and checked out well before official check out time the next day. She also didnt want to process my refund immediately “because she was too busy with thanksgiving dinner for 250 people”, i demanded a refund and a receipt immediately and promptly left the premises afterwards. This may seem like a petty review to some. But for me, it was an absolute slap in the face in returning home to Ohio. I do not recommend this “B&B” to anyone, mainly due to the incompetent management.

Highly recommend Simon Kenton Inn! My wife and I went there for a weekend getaway and to celebrate an anniversary, and have already been talking about when we can do it again! From check-in, to drinks at the pub, watching the sunset from our Cedar treehouse, dinner on the property, and then breakfast the following morning... Everything was just AMAZING!The entire property is beautiful. The Owner, Ms. Theresa, and her staff are amazing hosts. Our dinner was INCREDIBLE... My wife ordered the Fillet and Maryland Crab cakes, and I ordered the highly recommend Horseradish Salmon, and both were awesome. Then we shared a slice of "Simon Kenton Cake" and it nearly stole the show! We had such a great experience at SKI... If you're looking at this place for a visit, event, night out, or Brunch, just book it! You will not be disappointed. We really hope to be back soon. We can't stop telling people about this place!!

I have a medical service dog. A small dog who is very well trained. The owner clearly did not want the dog there. Even though the listing says pet friendly! When we entered the dining room for breakfast she asked if anyone was allergic or afraid of dogs. That was a nice thing to do. Then she seated us in another room away from everyone else. Even though everyone said they love dogs!! My dog is trained to lay under the table at my feet and that is just what he did. She later said to me that people say any dog is service dog. And not being corporate hotel she doesn’t have to follow ADA compliance!! Very aggressive in her dislike of dogs! Then don’t be pet friendly!!! We won’t be back!Rooms: Clean. Quiet

This place treats their staff like garbage. If you want to go somewhere to support a place that treats their staff horribly overworks them, and under pays them be Littles them and takes their pay, and keeps their tips. Then this is the place for you.

We had our pastor and his wife 50th wedding anniversary there. The staff was amazing, very helpful, nice, and professional. The food was excellent, and they helped set up.

The Simon Kenton Inn helped make our wedding reception memorable while offering an intimate and beautiful venue. From rooms to the restaurant and pub's support of our outdoor reception, every element was perfect. The history buffs enjoyed the stories and artifacts of the property's past while surrounded by the warm twinkle of candles and wildflowers. The food was on point and drinks were delicious too. Every aspect of the reception went perfectly, thanks to the staff at the Simon Kenton Inn!

My Parents came in from Tennessee to visit last week. They were SO IMPRESSED with the room. Clean , very quiet, and they got a ton of rest. Both are in their 80s and had a wonderful, safe time. They could not believe how great the bed sleptThey could not have had a better place to spend the week

We dined here today and I can honestly say I had the best fresh-out-the-oven Peach cobbler I have ever eaten. I went back for seconds on the cheese and broccoli soup too. Exquisite care was taken with every aspect of our visit. We are traveling through from AZ and I am putting Simon Kenton Inn on our list of best restaurants to stop at on future travels.
