My visit occurred late at night; about an hour and a half before closing. The subsequent emptiness in the store that I experienced affects my review. It was pretty empty. But unlike other stores in the hours before closing, this Giant Eagle had a lack of the post apocalyptic desolation vibe that would usually happen at 9pm. Instead, it had an occupied warmth. Employees still walked the aisles and manned their posts with life in their eyes. Nobody likes their public facing job an hour before their shift is over, but these employees hid it really well. Maybe I'm used to seeing people that look like they've given up. Maybe I'm projecting; in truth, does a go getter attitude intimidate me because I'm ashamed of my own poor work ethic? Does a lifeless, hateful type of employee satiate my own ego? These are questions I might muse about as I pluck some semolina flour from the shelf. They have semolina flour! They have a huge cheese selection! They have so many stocked, neat shelves. The store is wonderfully clean and a litmus for what Giant Eagles should feel like.

I have tried other grocery store online/pickup, but the Giant Eagle Stow/Kent, Ohio has consistently went above and beyond! Others stores substitute what they think is the best for you and tell you when you pickup. GE text/calls and sends pictures so you can make the best decision for you. They are the only grocery store I will order online from. Thank you for exceptional service!

One of the nicest stores to get your grocery needs. The people in the pharmacy are the best.

What a great group of people running this store! I have always used them, and they have always been great, but I just recently started using them for grocery delivery, and they have exceeded expectations. I got a delivery on Saturday and they forgot to include one item in the delivery. We didn't even notice, but Sunday morning we got a call from them, and they immediately apologized and let us know they messed up and forgot a bag. We offered to just go pick it up and they told us no, it was their mess up and they would run it out to us. When they got here, they again apologized, AND threw a gift card in the bag for the inconvenience! If that's not going above and beyond, I don't know what is! I highly recommend using them for your grocery delivery needs!

Absolutly the worst grocery store in this part of Ohio. Currently has misleading price drop tags around the store pointing to similar but not the correct products. Store manager is away until Friday. Stand-in front manager is not capable of addressing the situation.

I had to get vitamins and giant Eagle has a pretty good selection that is affordable (their own label) and easier for to swallow. This is important for those who take several nutrition supplements and vitamins. I know the store near me doesn't have what I want, so I had to go to this store to check. It wasn't far from where I was at the time so I went in. Now 4pm is not the best time to go, but it really wasn't that busy. No trouble with prime parking spot, no one in the check out, lots of staff. I only go there for vitamins. Too bad they weren't on sale, but I will keep my receipt in case next week they are. I was disappointed that I obviously looked confused and not one employee asked if I needed help. The set up is crazy and makes no sense. When I saw an employee, as soon as I was about to approach, they disappeared. In the pharmacy /health area, I was alone, on my knees, going from brand to brand, making comparisons, and not one person asked me if they could help. They have security cameras everywhere, I mean, you think that they would see someone on the floor!! What if I was dead and not kneeling? It was as if I was invisible. I went to get soda and the brand was marked one price. For course, they were sold out. I remember seeing a display at the front of the store, so I grabbed them. When I got to the self-checkout, the price rang up differently, much more expensive than on the shelf. I pressed the "call for help" button. An employee had been at the register at the end of the self checkout just moments ago. Poof!! Gone. I waited and waited and waited. I looked at my ad from the store to check the price, but it was so difficult to figure out where things were located.. Not organized at all, and no one came to help me after 10 minutes, I just said screw it, canceled the call and checked out. I had already wasted too much time there. It wasn't worth the extra $1.50 or so I would've saved. As I roll out of the store, there's an employee sitting on a bench doing nothing. I'm never going back there again.

Overall I love the Giant Eagle stores the only problem I have with this one is a girl at the pharmacy she doesn't know anything. Feel sorry for you if you have to deal with her.

The deli here is good. Good variety of meats and cheeses as well as prepaired foods.

I'd give it zero stars if I could.. The employees are unbelievably rude and completely unwilling to do their jobs.

Attempted to purchase 1 item around 10:30 PM. Two lines open- one self serve and other with cashier. The self serve being used by a person with a full cart- leading to a long line with the cashier. Why only 1 self serve line open? Why not open up another self serve line since person with full cart did not go through the line with cashier as would be commons sense. We left and took our business else where. We have been shopping more at ACME based on declining customer service at this store.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Recently, I took two of my visiting PhD student friends to giant eagle so that they could select a bottle of wine for their host family. One of them is 30 years old one of them is 35, and they were both carrying valid passports. The cashier would not let them purchase the alcohol because they did not have a drivers license. When I went up to purchase the alcohol for them using my giant eagle card my debit card and a valid US drivers license, they would not let me purchase the alcohol because she saw them hand me money for the wine. There was no apology, she just looked at them like they were idiots. It left a horrible taste in my international friends mouths. The manager stood there with a blank look on his face and didn't offer any words of consolation to them. Let me also mention that during the same trip to the store there was a full bottle of Woolite spilled in The aisle which I slipped and fell in, and when I asked that same manager if they had cleaned it up yet as we were leaving with no bottle of wine he rudely mentioned that they were getting it taken care of. He did not even bother to check and see if I was OK. I made sure to introduce my friends to Acme where they can easily picked out a lovely bottle of wine for their host family.

Not much of a variety when it comes to gluten free products, there's only one very small section near the cereal that doesn't even span the entire aisle. Everything else is frozen and over priced. I was really disappointed that they offer absolutely nothing in the bakery or prepared foods section that is gluten free or vegan. This location really needs to step up their A-game! And the pile of bright orange vomit directly next to your vending machine at the entrance is beyond appealing. The heavy stench of smoke in the same area made me want to choke...so don't use the left side of the entrance because it's always like this.

Love this location! Not only is it super close to home, but it's got everything we need. We recently inquired about custom cupcakes for our wedding, and one of the ladies at the bakery made us up samples to try. We are super excited to be getting exactly what we want (chocolate cupcake w/ peanut butter frosting and yellow cake / snicker doodle frosting) for less than half the price of the local cupcake boutiques. Great service and selection all around.

There's nothing more welcoming than entering any establishment fully stocked with mouse traps at the doors in the foyer. I realize that this location is near a wooded area but that is no excuse for vermin. Especially when their is food preparation involved; really makes me question the cleanliness of the entire store. It is also highly embarrassing & frustrating when you have an EBT card and want to use a self check out register. A year or two ago, you could use EBT cards at any register but apparently that has changed. There are no signs of warning so you make your purchases as usual & wind up discovering that you can't use your card at all unless you go through a regular cashier. I don't like people, in fact I hate 80% of the people I encounter so I avoid an actual cashier at all cost. I was also (at the time) embarrassed to be on food stamps and liked what I thought was a hidden secret. So I had to have a manager void out my entire purchase and re-ring it at their stand, very loudly stating that I had a EBT card and (in her own way) that she was not okay with it. ...When it comes to organic variety- it's more like "They have an organic section"? No, seriously; other than a few selected produce items their are practically no organic food options. Their pharmacy is soooo overpriced! I've also purchased a maple & a snicker doodle cupcake for my husbands birthday- the frosting was salty, over powering and flavorless. I thought maybe it was just these cupcakes and have bought others since with the same result. The only thing I like about this location is that their is a female employee who has an awesome fro-hawk, tattoos & piercings and they surprisingly allow her to display her style without the typical corporate cover-up bs that most of us unhappily ensure. Otherwise, forget it! I buy 75% of my organic items at Aldie's for 1/2 the cost and only shop here for items I can't get otherwise.
