Not gonna lie, I was a little worried about ordering from this company after looking at their bad reviews, but because of their price I had to give it a try. I ordered eleven essential oils, all one pound each, and when the order was delivered, I could smell something was leaking when I carried it in. To prove I wasnt trying to scam them I decided to take a video of me first opening the box. When I looked inside it looked like the items had been carelessly tosses in and I found my lemon essential oil was leaking. I emailed them that night of what happened and received a response the next morning. They apologized for the incident and asked for a picture of the item being weighed so they know how much product was lost. Once we figured that out they said I would receive another shipment of the lost product. Over all this was an okay experience. Their packaging presentation was poor, but their quick response for the damaged item made up for it. I will consider ordering more items from this company with hopes that they package their items for carefully.

I ordered from this company on June 14, 2021. I was ordering product for an event that I was having July 31. Today is July 6, and I called to get an update on my order. I was informed that my order was cancelled, due to back order. I find it very unprofessional, that there was no communication that let me know I would not be receiving something that paid for. Now I am awaiting my refund, and hope that I will be able to order from another company and get the product that I need, in enough time,

DO *** BUY FROM **** COMPANY! I NEVER in my life have had to fight so hard to get a refund for an order I never even received!I purchased a product from this company dating June 2nd. On June 3rd I received an email stating that the item had shipped. Time past and I made other orders from this company. The orders that I placed after the June 3rd order shipped and were received within a few days but this particular order did not come.I called the post office thinking it was delayed through them but the postal worker informed me that this particular shipment had odd qualities to it. They only had computer generated messages regarding this package but did not have any actual physical scans of the product. When the post office receives a package it is always physically scanned by a postal worker at all facilities. So I called the company to inform them of this. The woman then told me that their local post office was behind because they were "hand packaging everything" and when I pressed further she said that their "representative" at the postal location was behind. I called the post office to tell them what the company told me and the postal worker said they absolutely do not take private company representatives to work at their facilities. That would be bad for the post office union.So for the next handful of weeks I went back and forth with this company calling them, emailing them and all they did was make excuses as to why I did not receive my package, make absolutely ****** lies, and continued to refuse to refund me. Finally after they told me they would file a claim and their claim deadline came and went with no results, my husband called them up, demanded for a manager and demanded they either refund us right NOW or we would find another means to obtain our refund. We immediately get the refund after his phone call. It is June 28th. This company is full of lies and should be avoided at all costs! You shouldn't have to fight to get a refund for something you never received.

I ordered a sample kit of essential oils 6/3. They claimed to have sent the package, but **** has not received the package. It is 6/27 and **** has not updated from package pending acceptance. The sales team claims that **** is delayed in scanning. Yeah, sure, weeks and weeks delayed in scanning... I highly suspect the package was never dropped off.

**** AND ****** PRICING- BEWARE! I purchased an item from this company which was listed at a cost of $30. However I was charged $38 when I checked out and paid. I emailed the company with screen shots of the price they had listed on the item as well as what I ended up being charged and asked them to make it right. They refused, and instead tried to offer a 10% off coupon for a future purchase. As if I would ever buy from such a deceptive company again! I called, and was told it was an error that was corrected and that because the per unit price was listed correctly, they should not be held responsible. They refused to make it right. What horrible business practices. I wish I had checked them out on here before making a purchase because it's obvious from all these negative reviews that they are unscrupulous and have no integrity. Not a company to be trusted or to do business with! "

I ordered soap from the bulk apothecary. I was happy with the product so I decided to re order more but while in the "cart" in the online store I decided to up the order to the next tear of discounts, and ordered 4 bars rather than 1. Their website states there is a discount if you buy 4 bars. I updated the quantity to 4 from 1. Because I didn't go back and select 4 on the item menu, I was charged incorrectly. Rather than offering to fix this issue and refund the difference, they suggested that I re turn the order, at my own expense for shipping, and then re order. They would then send me back the same exact order that I had to pay to ship back to them, at the correct price. Asinine solution, piss poor customer service, and I will not be buying from here again. Very disappointing. You would think the BULK apothecary would understand I was buying in BULK for not other reason than the savings. It is generally the only reason consumers buy in BULK.

Please proceed with caution when placing an order with them. I placed an order on July 17th and received part of my order on August 4th. I've asked them numerous times to update that their orders are taking this long to process as reputable wholesale supply companies are doing to no avail. After inquiring about where the remainder of my order was in the process, I was notified that the rest of the order had been cancelled due to being out of stock. We are a small company and are able to keep up with our stock by hand and I'm positive that a company the size of Bulk Apothecary has an automated system. Then, they refunded me for the jars minus the over 250 discount but did not include any of the $48.00 of shipping I paid. The customer service agent was advised to tell me that shipping 50 8 oz jars with lids and packaging would not have changed the shipping amount and that is why we weren't refunded a portion of the shipping. This is a complete lie. They probably looked at if they had to ship the jars to me after the initial order that the costs would outweigh the benefit. But guess what, we take losses as business owners all the time! Please avoid this company at all costs. We are a long time customer and are looking for alternatives even if it means paying more.
