Purchased windows in 2018. In 2023 one window (top and bottom sash) have developed problems. Bottom sash has developed mold in between glass and the top sash has developed a stress crack. Company will only supply glass to my installer, but will not cover the installation charges which are over $1000. In my opinion this is a faulty window. Company does not stand behind their products!

Purchased and had installed new windows in 2018. Last year top and bottom of one window got a stress crack in top sash and mold in bottom sash. They do not cover the cost to replace the glass! Going to cost $1000 just to replace the glass. Company does not stand behind their product!

Everyone I talked to at ZEN WINDOWS from Scott, to James Bond and the installer Mark were the most knowledgable empathic persons I have ever signed on a contract. The windows are an outstanding product with a lifetime transferable warranty. Thank you gentlemen.

I had soft light windows installed thru a window company. I believe they use the softlight imperial elite window. We paid extra to get the pvc bonding paint to the exterior. The painting quality is very poor. A lot of missing paint and scratches. A lot of overspray on the white. There is even a portion of the frame that they don’t paint that shows when you lower the top window down. This is what the window company is telling us now. This was not told to us during the sales consultation. They did mention seeing white when looking in from the outside which is normal (seeing the interior vinyl). The window seems to be a solid efficient window. If buying a white window I can and will recommend however if getting the pvc bonding painted exterior, I would look elsewhere.. I’m still dealing with the window company on this issue and have a lot of photos. They went from saying this area that is not painted was missed to saying it’s not painted and normal as most people would be bothered by this. There must not be ANY quality control as these should have never left the building like this. Every window frame is missing paint and scratched.

The lifetime warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on. It's just a marketing gimmick. Three relatively large slider windows have sagged after 10 years, which results in the sashes not aligning and the locks not being able to engage. Snow blows through the windows. SoftLite's response is that this defect is the result of improper installation. Also, they said the windows should be locked all the time to prevent sagging. Doesn't this defeat the purpose of having operable windows? I contend that these windows were poorly designed for openings of this size. Vinyl is a poor product for use in manufacturing windows of this type. It's a cop-out to blame the contractor. Shouldn't the manufacturer have some oversight on how their product is installed, since this is an important part of a quality product installation? Very disappointing. Don't rely on the manufacturer's warranty in deciding to buy from SoftLite.

Have had Soft-lite windows and doors for 18 years and love them! They are easy to operate, still look beautiful inside and outside, and the company is incredibly responsive and helpful. A real person answers the phone and email questions are answered promptly. These are qualities seldom seen in companies any more. When we have made a warranty claim, due to normal age and weather issues, the process is smooth and response is quick and satisfactory. It pays to buy quality products and service. Soft-lite is quality in every aspect.

Softlite's windows looks beautiful in my home! When I had questions they went above and beyond to not only answer my questions, but help me better understand how my windows function and how to troubleshoot myself. They treated me with utmost respect and understanding. I absolutely love my windows and would recommend them to anyone looking for top of the line windows.

Bad place to work not because of the job itself but because of the management. People who don’t know what’s going on are running the company, very unfortunate because this company could be so much better than what they’re putting out to the public.
