I was helping my boyfriend try on a few suits for New Year’s, and the experience was incredibly disappointing. Not a single associate offered to help us the entire time we were there. As the store was closing, 5 minutes before the actual closing time, the associate told us we needed to wrap up because they were closing all the registers. On top of that, they locked us in the store, which I’m pretty sure isn’t even allowed.
As someone who has worked in retail management for years, I would never treat a customer this way. It’s the holidays, and kicking people out right before you close or being rude because someone is still shopping a few minutes after closing is completely unnecessary. If you hate your job that much, do something else.
We had every intention of purchasing two suits, but due to the poor customer service, we decided to take my business elsewhere. I even thought about cleaning up the dressing room as a courtesy, but since they were practically kicking us out, we left the mess for them to handle.
Congratulations on losing a $300 sale because you couldn’t give us a few extra minutes to make a decision. This reflects awful training for your associates, and I’m fairly certain it was the manager enforcing this behavior. Do better.

Nice.. I love Express. They are never too too busy. The entire center section of store is all discounted or sale items and you can find literally everything there.. Jeans, dresses, boysuits, tops, sweaters, shoes, everything. And I mean highly discounted. I got jeans for $25, sweaters and tops for $10. I recommend you check it out!
