“I like DG. Fast and friendly service and many things I use so I don't have to go to the behemoth grocery. But they need to stock 12 packs of sparkling water and NA Beer. Then they'll get a 10.”
“I visited Dollar Tree on 5/12/2026, and unfortunately my original transaction was pretty awful. The employee I dealt with was beyond rude, and there were a few other issues with them that made the experience frustrating.
However, I later spoke with the manager, and she truly made everything right. She was professional, understanding, and handled the situation very well.
Because of that, I would still highly recommend this store. The employees are generally great, and they usually have a really good stock of the items I’m looking for. I appreciate the manager taking the time to correct the situation and make sure I left satisfied.”

“This store has lots of good merchandise at reasonable prices. They always have nice seasonal things for crafters. You can always find bargains on wrapping paper and gift cards. Household cleansers and organizational items are also available. If you need coloring books and reading books and basic textbooks that are fun for little children check the Dollar Tree before you buy those items that other stores. I often find those items are the same as those offered at higher priced stores but you pay WAY LESS at Dollar Tree. The basic textbooks for little kids can help them learn letters and numbers and basic math. There's always lots of cheerful pictures that are very colorful in the textbooks and the basic reading books so that children will be very interested in them. I have found Sesame Street books and I have seen Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse things there. Just about any popular cartoon that you can think of is featured in their coloring books section. Books for adults that are interesting are cookbooks with really interesting types of recipes that are all done by themes. For people who like to do puzzles there's plenty of those there too.”
“I was in the family dollar around 745-8 on 4/29 and the young gentlemen at the cash register literally made my night. He was so fun, so nice, such a people person. I’ve never experienced a cash out as unique as this one, but I will definitely be shopping there more JUST because of him. I lost my receipt so i don’t remember his name but he was wearing a black tshirt, i think Upper valley JVS. He is so kind, so funny, and he turned my day completely around. That interaction will stay with me for life honestly.”

“The woman running this store has done so much to improve it. A year ago this store was trashed just like all the other dollar generals in dayton. Now its organized, and it stays stocked. Anything I need they always have it. The only Dollar General I go to now.”
“The employees in this location do the absolute best with what they're given. Smoke breaks are the only break taken to ensure store is stocked. If you can't find an employee several reasons one they're on their small break two talking to each other about a game plan for whatever the task is or three in the stock room pulling out more stock to keep the shelves stocked with everything that we possibly can there's always a bell up front for the customer to let us know their ready to be checked out and we come when it gets rang ???”

“I just want to give a shout out to the manager that is on duty this morning who went above and beyond to help me figure out why my coupon was not ringing up correctly. She went back and verified everything and come to find out I was getting the wrong product. She was so kind to return my purchase and gave me no issues. The store also seemed pretty understaffed so to me that shows that she truly cares about her position. Great customer service!! Which is refreshing in these kind of times.”

“The store has improved dramatically since last year. It used to be a total chaotic mess all thetime and was very difficuly to navigate. It's still a little messy, but nowhere near as bad. Getting through the aisles is much easier, and the staff is pretty nice now.”

“Every time that I visit this store I have a great experience the manager or assistant I'm not sure what her title is but she always greets me and other costumes and ask I there is any help finding items. BUT ... I do have a complaint she needs more help to keep this store running smoothly some of the other employees there are not a great fit for costumes services employment she can only do so much!”
