Horrible experience. With Citizens Bank, my recent experience has been very negative, primarily because the local branch associates, and moreover, the various phone representatives, don't have the expertise and proper training to possess an in-depth and comprehensive understanding of the very loan products they are peddling. Across the board, it's been my experience, both historically and presently, that the associates simply lack a clear understanding of the dynamics and working parts within the bank's internal process, concerning the various lending and revolving credit services offered by the institution. What's worse than all of the aforementioned shortcomings, is the fact that the personal bankers I've dealt with, have a habit of keeping me in the dark concerning the steps involved when I'm seeking clarification on any issues which may arise. The communication within the customer-institution relations setting is broken and needs fixed.

Citizens is the worst bank ever. My husband banks with them and they are supposed to notify him if he has an overdraft so he can take care of it but they never do so they can rack up more fees until he notices but the last straw is the ATM on Secor has been broke for a week! You cant withdrawal any money and when I tried to get into the lobby my husband's card wouldnt work! I'm with Huntington and have been begging him to switch. I've never had one problem with them.

They've had our mortgage for a while now. We received an offer to open new DDA and savings since we're "valued customers". We opened the accounts at the branch and then never got half of the bonus offer. Spent the last 2 months trying to get this corrected. It has gone from the banker, to manager, to regional manager, to "office of the chairman", then back to regional manager, then back to manager. Still unresolved and no one at this bank takes any ownership whatsoever. Zero follow-up, but plenty of faux empathy.

Horrible customer service. My mom entered this location to get a form notarized. The lady at the desk told her she would NOT notarize her form because she did not know her and argued with her in front of other customers in the bank. We have been banking with Citizen's bank for many years. My mom provided her driver's license as required and the lady still refused. She claimed my mom would need to provide her with guardianship papers for her to notarize the form. That is a violation! We are filing a complaint with the state of Ohio and Citizens bank. Out of all of the location that were recently closed this location should have been the one. My family and I have never had a good experience at this location.

I want to put Zero stars i've had this account for years but closed my small account due to the manager attitude horrible customer service. I needed to deposit a e check but because this particular manager never seen one before she never tried to contact the issuer of the check I had more than enough to cover the small amount but I got the feeling she assumed it was fraudulent or something, therefore I closed my account up until this point my experience had been wonderful. All she had to was make a phone call to verify but she was unwilling and rude. Never again will Citizens get my business

Hands down one of the worst banks I’ve ever experienced customer service is terrible and they don’t really go into detail about what account your signing up for then in turn has put me in a worse situation then where I was before...I’ll just take my money and my direct deposit to another bank

This location is super friendly they go over all options in loans and they discuss all options for the different accounts they have for all different types of people and what works best for their personal financial situation. I would recommend this place to anyone!

I would give a lower amount of stars if it wasn’t for the helpful staff. I believe his name is Tim, he is one of the nicest guys and so helpful. Knows his job and does it well, id give him 5 stars. The rest of the staff was great except for 1 in general, the branch manager. She is so damn rude, she talks to her staff like they don’t know what they are doing. If you are running a place of business you need to learn how to manage with kindness not being stuck up. So the only reason I gave this branch 3 stars was because of her. Otherwise, the rest of the staff you guys are awesome!

I found the staff extremely friendly and helpful! Love that they recognize me and always greet me by name even though I had only been there a few times before. They were great in helping me transfer and set up an IRA and are always willing to answer any questions I have.
