“This is definitely one of the better stores. It’s extremely clean, and they usually have everything that I have needed, and it saves me a trip to Kroger‘s. if I want obviously to buy a cart full of groceries I’ll go to Walmart, Sam’s or Costco. Kroger‘s this one out here in the Point leaves a lot to be desired. Go to the Kroger on Glendale Avenue. Walk through that store and you’ll see the difference. “I was just at Dollar General and I am just having a horrible day. Anyway, the cashier that waited on me was so super nice and really just went above and beyond what she had to do. She was a thin youngish woman with long hair. Everyone tells you when you do something wrong they should also let you know when you've done something right. Your lucky to have her.”

“Great atmosphere the employees are wonderful they know the customers very polite. I really feel for them because when you go up there and get your soap for your clothes and things like that they have to put stuff like that on the back because people go in there and steal so if you go in there and see the shelves empty nine times out of 10 it's in the back so don't be afraid to ask the employees to grab you something from back there! They have a little bit of everything in there so don't sleep on them check them out if you ever on the east side check them out cash back really quick they got the cash app because all those things where you can put money on your cards. I've never put money on my card there before but I know that you can put money on your card because I've seen it. Looking for school supplies for your children stop up there at the Dollar general they got it!”

Even though with them being an urban store that you don't carry as much as a regular one which I think is crappy because other people that live in the neighborhood we get left out because family Dollar doesn't want to put it there because people come in and steal stuff.”

“I Love Shopping at $$ General on Alexis, the one on Lewis, and the one on Jackman & Sylvania. I buy treats for my Grand kids. They sale great trinkets and toys for kids. Snacks, like juices, chips, cookies, popcorn, & pop. Hygiene products. Like diapers, kotex, deodorants, and body sprays. & Household products, like bed spreads, hot plates, pots and pans and silverware. Seasonal products also. Like swim products, and holiday products. “Not usually I place I shop but since it is within two blocks from my home I decided to check it out. I was very impressed with the selection of products. It isn't somewhere to buy things you expect to last 10 years but to get you by, it isna great bargain. Be sure to visit. The staff are very helpful as well. 6th star quality.”
“I stopped at the dollar tree on Manhattan yesterday evening around 5pm (03/15/22.) The employees that were working yesterday were very polite and friendly. I grabbed two items. When I went to go checkout, I was actually short 68 cents. I asked the cashier to take one of the two items off. Instead, the employee took a dollar from her own personal money to cover mine. Yeah, it may have only been some change.. but it was the fact that she did it in the first place. It is something to be commended for. I wish I would have gotten her name, but I didn't. Thank-you for your kind gesture. I will be sure to pay it forward!”
“I unfortunately have to give a 4 star because no matter when I go it's 1 certain male manager that gives me bad anxiety. However Mrs. July is the best GM she goes above and beyond for her customers and she shows up daily. 1 thing I will say is that they should make sure they're pulling tags because often when I go things don't ring up as the price tags say, but they almost always makes it right for me. The ladies are very polite and pleasant”

“This DG has the absolute nicest staff of any DG I've been to. Each person is pleasant and helpful. Whether they might be having a bad day, they never display that. The manager, as well, is very pleasant. Other DGs need to have their staff trained by the staff at the Heatherdowns location. Kudos to each of them! Christine K.”
