Kilgus is the best for meats and authentic items that can't be found anywhere else. They also make a lot of homemade dinners and soups that are really good. The absolute best secret thing they have that they don't get enough credit for in my opinion is their ground chuck. It puts wagyu beef to shame. I use it for burgers mostly and they are delicious!

A store that specializes in meat! The German American in me loves it. There's a lot of specialty sausages, bratwurst & deli salads in the store, but I just go for the steaks & the ground sirloin. Store lot parking available. Tip- the store is closed on Sundays, so if you show up at the end of the day on Saturday, the owner might give you a deal

My dad always went every Saturday (on Lagrange St) as I was a small child… I am 70 now…loved loved loved it…but something has definitely changed about the texture and taste of the hot veal loaf ( Liebercase) it’s just not the same?….I’m sad for that?

I stop here every time I am in town. My Grandmother would always bring me with her while picking up. Recommend the sandwich spread, natural casing hot dogs and of course the landjeagers.

My family every Christmas gets kielbasa. Quite a few years ago we got it from 5 sources and Kilgus was voted the best, followed closely by Stanley's which I can save a 40-minute drive by buying at Kroger. Every year I still make the 80 minute round trip drive because it is worth it.

This is the place only place to get your old world style sausages, the homemade landjaegers are a must!!! The inhouse made lunch meats are bar none the best
