I came in for an oil change a little bit ago and now I’m missing my $35 easy drain plug and I have a rounded off metal one that was tighten way to much now it can’t get unstuck

I very recently visited this location on Monroe St to have the headlight assemblies and bulbs removed and replaced. I was heading out of town on a weekend trip. I’m a senior Veteran who’s disabled. I purchased everything needed to do the job on my own. From the headlight assemblies, to the bulbs, down to the bulb grease. Upon preparing to do so I discovered all of my tools missing. In a crunch I headed down to my “trusted” Midas shop. Needless to say, I walked away after paying a bill for $347. In my younger days I know just how long it ACTUALLY takes to do so. I was told my bill reflected a “price break” considering my circumstances. I’ve seen the videos of it being done on my exact make, model & year of immaculate vehicle. I’ve spoken to other mechanics and outlets who volunteered that would’ve done so gratis. I don’t mind paying for things. I expect NOTHING for free. I just don’t like the feeling of being taken advantage of. I ask the reader. Does this sound fair & equitable?

The oil change was fine. They were informative, friendly and fair priced. But when I went to pay with a Midas gift card that I verified the balance, they couldn’t get them to go through and didn’t offer any solutions to use my cards. Since they won’t help with fixing them I won’t be back.

Went to this place back in 2015 .. just for a simple oil change but they convinced me there was an issue with the car when there wasn’t .. add on sales means thier crooks ..

Called and made an appointment for next day. Arrived 5 minutes early. Was told that the one mechanic there had just started something else and it would be a 3 hour wait to start. My wife passed away suddenly last month and I've been scrambling to cover everything. Thanks for wasting my time. I'll never return.
Edit: "connecting" with them is also a waste of time.

Exceptional service! We've been taking our cars to the Midas at 5435 Monroe Street since 2018 for all kinds of routine maintenance and repairs and we won't go anywhere else. They're knowledgeable, competent and honest. Highly recommend!

Service was great! I didn't feel like they were trying to push me to but something I didn't need and even gave me to option to come back at a later date for a free tire rotation as we couldn't find the lug nut key. I definitely plan on using them for all my car needs in the future!
