Staff are grossly untrained & unprofessional.I bought two tank tops on 08-21-2024, and the African American Sales Associate told me if they are not worn they could be return or exchange within 7 business days .
I returned to the store at 3015 Glendale Avenue unit 450 on 08-22-2024 to exchange the tank tops , but I was told by an African American women that the items can't be exchanged. The African American lady politely asked me wait so she could speak to her Manager about getting the tops exchange.
The Manager came and she was very rude and unprofessional. I ask her for her name but she refuse to tell me her name. She is biracial female with visible tattoos.
This is a dishonor to the Rainbow Shops to have such rude and unprofessional Manager.
They need to post their return policy in a more visible area in the store. The Manager said the staff that told me the tops were returnable was a new staff. Well obviously as a Manager you are not doing your job in having your staff properly trained.
I will never shop at Rainbow Shops anymore.
Please be aware of the unclear refund policy.

Rude employees. It tells me a lot about the store by the way the employees treat people that walk in to look at a shoe in the display window. Why would I want to buy anything after being treated rudely?

Very disappointed in the location. My friend was treated poorly and told aggressively that he needed to leave while he was shopping. The store rep couldn't even explain to him why he had to leave. I believe he was profiled for either being a male, being black, or because he's of the lgbtqia community ?Not sure what the store rep/cashier's problem was, but everyone should be allowed to shop..I hope this review gets the recognition it needs..

I would give ZERO if possible! You have No reason to kick someone out for just peacefully looking around. In addition, when asked why, they were given no answer except "you need to leave". The person shopping is one of the kindest and most honest people I know!

Hey Corporate...I don't know if it's in your general policy to refuse business whenever you feel like it, but your staff does...with a terrible attitude, I might add.She turned a potential customer away, demanding they leave the store, because of her clear, personal bias against consumers in the LGBTQ community.Sorry you missed out on not only my friend's money, but plenty of others will be dropping your business like a bad habit!*Glendale Ave.,Toledo*

Well that was interesting. I stopped at Rainbow Shops in toledo because some of my friends find great things at various rainbows. As I'm looking around (at the sales racks) I get told...."you need to go"...with confusion I ask " did I do something? " the girl just kept saying with a very stank attitude "you need to go"....so now I'm going to yelp and any other social media I have to complain. Because if I don't come at you with attitude I shouldn't get attitude plain and simple

There is no reason why a PAYING customer should be rudely told to leave the store with no explanation as to why. Leads me to assume that your “worker” had an issue with how they identify. Wonder how many other people she turned away. It’s 2023, DO BETTER!!!

I will never spend money at a shop where the employees find it acceptable to be extremely unprofessional and to judge someone by the way they look and force them to leave. A lot of business will be lost because of this kind of treatment. I truly hope something is done about this person.

A friend was told “you need to go” as they were browsing through the sales racks. They were kicked out with no explanation except for the phrase above. Shame. They have lots of money to spend. Any light you could shed on this would be appreciated, because they felt heavily discriminated against.

The rainbow stops on Glendale Avenue has at least one very unprofessional and horrible person working there that treats consumers VERY poorly. My suggestion is to just stay away from this store and do not give them any business. The manner in witch a friend of mine was treated by the staff there is one of the worst things I have ever seen in all my life. I work in the costumer service field and the level of unprofessionalism that happened in that store was unstable to say the least.
