Took my wife out for her birthday. Atmosphere was great, service was ok but the food was underwhelming. My medium steak was cooked so “well done” (maybe medium well in absolute center) dry and unseasoned that I find it hard to believe it was even wet aged. The last steak place I went before this, I had a better juicier cut from a simple New York strip at less than half the cost. The only thing we’ll seasoned was the garlic mashed potatoes which accompanied very tender but quite unseasoned short rib. Maybe I was there on an off day but that’s unexpected for a Saturday. For the price range this was quite disappointing.

Had a lovely early Valentine’s dinner from here! We ordered the crab cakes, seafood pasta, wagyu, brussel sprouts, cheesecake for dessert, and all were delicious! You can enter through the Maumee Bay Brewery entrance, but it’s way easier to go around to the back of the building where Rockwell’s main entrance/the elevator are.Parking: You can park in either the side lot or on the street around the back of the building.

I came here for an educational dinner hosted by a drug company. There was a limited, three-entree menu which included an 8-ounce steak, chicken and another item which I don't remember. The food was good. Service was exceptional. I've eaten here as a normal diner before and enjoyed the food and atmosphere more, but I guess that's to be expected.

We have tried to like rockwells. The steaks are just not good. There is no flavor. They do know how to cook a steak to order. With that said, the steaks are bland. The steaks have no flavor. It is said when you go to a steak house and the last thing you want to eat is the mashed potatoes. As you do not want to have the bland tough steak in your mouth. A real steak house, would not need steak knives. We have wanted to like this place. We have spent more than $4000 less than $1000 trying to like Rockwells over the last few years. We are done. What a disappointment each time with the food. The staff is always wonderful. The place is always clean.Drinks are very weak pour.

I made reservations 3 days prior to arriving with a friend and when arriving we still had to wait for 30 minutes When sitting down we waited an additional 30 minutes and decided to then leave. Our reservation was not acknowledged and we were treated like we were invisible. 0/10 would not recommend!!!!!!!!! Go to Mancys Steakhouse. Got us right in. Better food by the way

This was my first time visiting this restaurant. It was absolutely great!! Ari (I think thats how you spell her name not sure) she was an absolutely amazing waitress!! I did not mind tipping her at all. I brought my girlfriend for her birthday and we loved everything. The only thing I did not like was the confusion for where the restaurant entrance and location was inside the building. The food was amazing the atmosphere was great and the service was superb ?great experience I will be back!!!

Do not go to rockwells! Terrible food, terrible drinks, awful service and even worse prices! Stay away!Rockwells supposed "fine" dining, did not meet expectations or even come close to earning the title of "fine dinning". In no reality is their food worth 100$+ a plate. Took my wife out for dinner on her birthday and we've never been more disappointed! From service, wait times, price, to the drinks and food, everything was BAD.It was clear the bartender did not know how to mix drinks, they were weak, off balanced and gross. I've had better drinks at a dive bar. Terrible! My wife and I ordered steak, and a side, it took well over an hour to get our food and we had already waited about 40 minutes just to put in our order. Mind you, they were not busy at all at this time. After another hour, my wife's steak arrived undercooked and mine was well overcooked... They were served on "plates" that were very hot, yet my steak was ice cold except for the bottom that was touching the hot plate. Also, why they would serve your 70$+ steak on plate that looks scorched and filthy is beyond me, I wish I would have taken pictures so I could laugh at how ridiculous they were at least. I'm not exaggerating, it was that laughably bad. The potatoes were served in a metal boat/dish on the side, looked like something you would find at a Cracker Barrel or like a chain bbq restaurant... We had already waited nearly two hours to eat, i was very hungry and I did not want to wait even longer for a new steak to be cooked so I just choked it down. I took one bite of the potatoes and they were ice cold and disgusting.... also were 10$ by the way...Just two steaks, two sides, and 3 drinks, was 200$ plus tip, that's 240$+ for two people and everything except my wife's steak was disgusting. The ridiculousness of it is almost funny, maybe would have been if it wasn't my wife's birthday.Normally we would just chalk it as a "we won't be back", and move on, but the ridiculous price was too offensive! I've had better food that was a quarter of the price. When I mentioned the long wait to our server, I was told "well it is "fine dinning" that's how it goes"... fine dinning! Lol nooooo. They reluctantly took the potatoes of my bill and took 20 bucks off the 70$+ ice cold overcooked steak... our bill was still 200$ NEVER returning, do not go there!Staff obviously hated their job, everyone looked glum, now I know why! I'd be embarrassed to work there too. Should have trusted my instinct to leave when we got our awful drinks.Only good thing about Rockwells is the cool building... everything else was an abomination. Just go anywhere else!Kid-friendliness: It is absolutely NOT kid friendly

Had reservations for 6 at 6 pm. We were seated promptly. We got water and ordered drinks but the drinks didn't arrive for an hour. Meanwhile the 2 tables that were seated after us got their water, bread and received their entrees before we even ordered. 2 of us ordered Wedge salads. When the salads arrived the 2 wedge salads were Romain lettuce chopped up with Blue Cheese crumbles and no dressing whatsoever.
Our entrees arrived 1 1/2 hours after we sat down. I also ordered Lobster rolls and when I asked about them our waiter told me they were out. It would have been nice to know sooner so I could have ordered something else. I had ordered a Wedge salad, lamb chops and Lobster rolls. What I ended up with was a plate of 4 Lamb chops for a meal. When the bill arrived I checked and the $97 bottle of wine I ordered was on my bill for $145.
We have eaten here before and had great meals and service. That was the reason I chose Rockwells for my son's birthday dinner as he and his wife and my daughter and her husband had never been there before. We were very disappointed as the waiter really had no clue of what he was doing and what is expected from a fine dining experience. I suggest that our waiter be trained a little better before you put him back on the floor solo.

Dine at Rockwells off and on over the years. In the past always a 4 or 5 star experience. Had not been in a while, and was very disappointed with my latest experience. Worst was the atmosphere. The restaurant was not very crowded, maybe only 3 table, however one diner had his phone on speaker virtually the whole dinner, and the entire restaurant had to endure both sides of the conversation, with a very loud speaker, and the restaurant staff did nothing. Our server was very nice, but did not seem to know anything about the dishes. When we asked questions, she basically just repeated what was on the menu. When the food came out, she had no idea who ordered what. Now, in a casual restaurant, this is all fine, however at $100 per person, this is just not acceptable. Finally the food was not up to par on what we have had in the past. Steaks used to be to die for. Steaks were not cooked to correct temps, and just average on the taste. Again, considering the price, this is a problem. I am hoping to dine there again, however until we start hearing some positive comments from friends, we will not be back. I do hope they can get back to where they were in service and quality.

Just came here for our 6th visit ever. It was my oldest daughters 20th birthday and I wanted to spoil her. We are not wealthy but we do well enough to enjoy a fine meal on occasion. We recommended the Wagu Strip to my daughter who has never had a steak of its caliber. She, her friend and my wife all picked the Wagu bone in strip. The flavor was pungent on all three and all three were too tough to chew. I spent time deciding if I wanted to mention this to the waitress, because my wife is a restaurant manager and part owner and we hate people who complain with no reason. But at the end of the day, 3 at my table ate 3 bites of their $69 steaks and stopped trying. It was evident that none of them were impressed or even able to eat them. Upon bringing the issues to our waitresses attention she simply said that aged steaks have a blue cheese flavor. I am aware of this…we visit 5 star restaurants a few times a year. She made no attempt to explain why it was too tough to chew. My ribeye on the other hand was on point, and I shared it with the three of them so they could have som e good meat. Outside of that, service was great, drinks were top notch, appetizers and desserts were top notch. Unfortunately if I spend 3 days wages to take my daughter for a high end dinner I expect her food to be edible. She thanked me for dinner and asked if we could go to Longhorn Steakhouse next year instead. $500 check and a $120 tip for $100 in great drinks and $50 in great desserts paired with steaks that will not be wasted because we will give them to the dogs when we get home. Not feeling like it was worthwhile. We will probably come back next year because as soon to be part owners in a restaurant we believe in giving one more chance after a failed experience, but I doubt we will hurry back.
