About Toledo Repertoire Theatre

The Toledo Repertoire Theatre is a vibrant and vital community theater with a tradition of excellence spanning 90 years. Founded in 1933, it is Toledo’s first community theatre, operating from a charming, quaint, and very small old theater in a beautiful building in Uptown, originally a church. This historic setting adds to its charm. The Rep offers a wide variety of excellent productions, including plays and musicals, which are done very well. The actors are dedicated to their craft, giving their all to create colorful, moving, and consistently fun experiences. It is community theater at its finest, with very reasonable prices. Parking is very convenient with a free, fenced lot, though it is very small, so arriving early is advised. Several good places to eat are nearby. The theater usually has a break with candy, coffee, water, and pop. A notable limitation is that the building is not accessible for those who cannot handle stairs, as entering the theater requires walking up stairs and the restrooms are in the basement with no elevator. There is also no bike parking available on-site.
