I bought my car from here and have always taken it here for service. The last two years have been awful. Tammy who books service appointments is one of the nastiest employees I have ever encountered. Frequently will hang up on you instead of helping. I reported her to Steve the service manager. He never returned my call. The last few times I have taken my car there I have been scammed out of my money. Every single time they claim you need more repairs than you do. The last time was the last straw. They scammed me out of $3,000. The problem is still very real! I’ve taken it back three times! Still broken. Same problem. I again reached out to Steve the service manager who also sends out an email after your service to make sure it was wonderful, still have never heard from him. I called back. Employees say they will have him call. It’s been a week. Still no word from Steve. Horrible. I would NEVER recommend getting a vehicle serviced here.

Dave and Jay were absolutely amazing in helping me get into my brand new 2025 hybrid Subaru Forester! They were so warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make everything work for me! Everyone I came into contact with at the dealership was also spectacular, friendly, helpful, and genuinely happy to help. The entire experience was stress-free and enjoyable. I’ll never go to another dealership again. These two (and the whole team) have earned a lifelong customer!!!

Traveling from out of town, my Subaru got a screw in a tire. Took it into Yark, they patched the tire with a car wash at NO charge! I didn’t expect that and greatly appreciated the quick service and no charge to get me on the road again.

The absolute worst place to buy a car avoid YARK! All yark dealerships, I’ve only heard bad things about them. They rip people off and lie to their customers . Axle fluid change every 30k miles , said an air filter was dirty and it was replaced 10k miles perior and still clean, as far as the sales side, 200 dollars for one year nitrogen in tires, looking at paperwork they over charged for extra stuff by thousands of dollars ! Lied about it over 1000 dollars for the first 6 oil changes… I can list all the crooked stuff they added, just avoid the dealership by all costs . Such a shame that they ruin a good brand with thieves and liars .

I took my 06 Outback in for a diagnosis, P0453 code and fuel smell inside & outside of the car. I explained that I had already replaced many parts of the emissions & evap systems to correct issue to no avail. Car was not connected to diagnostic tool. Mechanic identified cracked housing on fuel pump, wanted $1200 to replace it, stating this would fix the problem. I clarified prior to leaving that this would fix the fuel tank pressure issue, and asked if we should hook up diagnostic tool. Was told that wouldn't be necessary, fuel pump will fix the issue. I declined the repair and performed it myself. Replaced fuel pump reset check engine light and in less than 50 miles same CEL came back up.
Contacted service writer, he said since they didn't do repair there's no guarantee. Explained the issue isn't repair, it's the diagnosis that I paid for that was wrong and requested diagnostic tool scan. This escalated to service manager who, after a few weeks of communication said they would provide diagnostic tool scan at no extra charge. Dropped car off and was given an estimate of almost $400 to trace electric wiring to find solution. I asked repeatedly what system they were specifically tracing. 5 hrs later I got a generic reply that body panels needed to be removed to further diagnose. After much back & forth, I became aggravated by lack of specifics and requested them to print out their findings and leave them with key and lock in car, I'd pick it up later.
I did some further research and found there was a sensor I wasn't aware of and located it on the car. The wiring and vent had been chewed up, presumably by a rodent. This specific sensor is visible to the naked eye by observing undercarriage with vehicle on a lift. It is completely unacceptable that a dealership service department could not, did not or would not, at a minimum, look at all associated sensors to verify if they existed, if they were plugged in, if connectors were corroded or any other abnormality prior to removing body panels to chase a wiring problem.
This is especially aggravating for me as my 16yr old daughter had recently bought this as her first car (from private owner). This injustice, was not done solely to me, it was done to her. I've attached a pic of the chewed wiring and hose.
I would give zero stars if I could. Yark Subaru service manager demonstrated he has no automotive mechanical background, he should do Yark automotive group and the entire automotive repair industry a favor and leave the auto repair business altogether.

I've worked for Yark and I highly recommend them. My story starts at yark chevy in Perrysburg, worked there for about a year. Met tons of sales members and went to one this year to ask about getting a new vehicle. I told Jason (Crazy Pants) I was interested in the 2024 Subaru Impreza yet also still interested in looking to the chevy trailblazer, equinox, and blazer. Well he told me even as a chevy salesrep to go to Subaru. I talked to Cameron multiple times and he talked all my options with me, bottom line is I couldn't be happier. Thank you so much as a company and much more. I love my new car.

I would have given this place a zero rating, but that was not an option. The last time I came here for services, I had a disagreement with the service provider and asked to speak to the manager. And then when I spoke to the manager, I mentioned that I was going to write a review on the place, describing the interaction and the situation. The manager was rude and condescending. He behaved under the presumption that I had no knowledge of how cars worked, which was far from true. I was wondering if this was the same way he interacted with his male clients. Well I never actually got around to writing that review.
But today, I write the review. Today, I went for an oil change and tire rotation that they gladly scheduled for me last week. But when I got there, it turned out that there was a note in their computer that they could not provide service for me because I said I was going to write a review and include the issue that I had had that day. Their note called ME condescending, when in actuality, I was just not blindly accepting of what was being told to me. Their note on me was a textbook example of gaslighting. Clearly, the manager did not like the fact that I had questions nor that I questioned his assessment. Again, I wondered if he would have approached the situation differently, had I been a man. The way I was treated was one red flag, and now the other red flag is the refusal of service due to a promised review. In my opinion, it would be better to learn from all of your one-star reviews than to block the people who write them.
It definitely doesn't reflect well on this Subaru shop, when they refuse service to a person who has a disagreement with them. But, in the end, it is their loss. I have undoubtedly enjoyed driving my Subaru. But, I also have to admit that the Honda I owned previously was superior as far as maintenance, upkeep, reliability, and longevity. In addition, our local Honda dealer has better reviews. So, once this Subaru of mine has served its time, I will certainly go back to Honda.
RESPONSE TO YARK COMMENT: As anyone who knows me would affirm, I use specific, clear words when voicing my discontent, but I do not use foul language. In fact, when the note in your computer was read to me, there was no mention of foul language. However, I recognize your need to attempt damage control when you have a poor review. Also, if you were interested in fairness, you wouldn't routinely offer estimates that are double or triple the cost to have the exact work done elsewhere, at reputable service shops. I strongly advise people to try Honda first, when shopping for a vehicle. It's been my experience that the overall service tends to be better, and the vehicles are first-rate.

We visited Yark Subaru after a disappointing experience with our local dealer. The drive out of state was well worth it! Everyone at Yark was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Best of all, the great service didn't end once we drove our new car off the lot. With a few loose ends to tie up, the staff at Yark followed up and delivered as promised on those outstanding items. Special call out to Jay our salesperson. We love the Outback. Thank you!

Highly upset with this place. I got my car the end of February and been having nothing but problems with it. Probably not even a month after I got the car the air was not working and now today about 2-3 months later I have to come out of $500 due to them finding a switch in the shifter causing my car to not turn off because my car is not recognizing that its in park. Wonder what's going to be next.
