“United Bank in Downtown Weirton has and always will be the bank I will use! They are so helpful and knowledgeable when I have questions. My husband and I just recently were approved for the United Bank Credit Card, and it was the easiest process ever and through the process they were able to pay off another credit card we were using that had to high and interest rate. Mary Parsons helped with the application process and was wonder through the entire thing. I have and always will recommend to them to everyone! They go above and beyond for their customers! And they are all so friendly and have a welcoming atmosphere! They are definitely my family's forever bank! I rate my entire experience with Mary and the Downtown Weirton Bank 5 stars!”

“Not sure why this Chase bank received such low reviews. I have used their drive-through service and atm many times without any issues, and I have called their bank several times whereby they always been friendly, provided detailed information that helped my situations, and when they were very busy they have always called me back within a short time to see how they could help. The only thing I dont like about the Chase banking is the boolschit I went through to get my account opened. Since I'm paraplegic with epilepsy and cant drive to the bank to open a checking account, I was told it was simple to do it online and if that dont work I can come into the bank to get the account created. Thats BOOLSCHIT! Their system continuously said they cant create account for me and they refused to tell me whats the problem! They said nothing right there on the website page and they never sent any email to explain. I called back into the Wintersville Chase bank and was then told sorry but since you already tried online and the system rejected you, we cant try to open your account in person but will have to wait until you receive a letter through mail within 10 business days. So now I have to wait SUCH A LONG time just to know why they wouldnt create my account even after I provided all of the required and personal information”

“I have been doing personal and business banking with US Bank for some time now. Recently, I was the victim of (at least what seems to me) a very sophisticated social engineering online hack. My personal and business accounts were compromised. The only solution to this attack after 6+ hours on the phone with everyone I could speak with at US Bank, was to close all my accounts. The anti-fraud department would not/could not close them. They told me my only recourse was to go to a branch.
The issue, I live outside of Philadelphia, and the closest branch is 6+ hours away in Ohio. I tried for another full day to get anyone on the phone to help me close the accounts. Eventually I made the choice I would have to drive to Ohio and do this in person, so I booked an appointment at this branch.
The branch manager, Trenton, saw my appointment and decided to call me the day before my trip to see what was going on. I explained everything to him, he emphasized with my situation and said, “Let me see what I can do, can I call you back in about an hour?” About an hour later he called me with a solution to get the accounts closed.
What strikes me as so extraordinary about Trenton is that he didn’t have to call me. I already committed to driving to Ohio. He saw I was coming from a long distance and decided he’d reach out. He wanted to save me the trip if he could. I’ve never been to his branch, I’m not a customer of his branch, but he wanted to help just to help.
This has been one of the most stressful weeks of my life. Someone was trying to steal from my personal and business accounts. Of all the people I had to deal with, Trenton was the most empathetic and willing to find a solution that worked.
He is a man of high character. When I asked if I could send a compliment to his manager, or leave a review, he told me it wasn’t necessary.
To me, it is.
I am also in the customer service business, and it matters when someone is willing to go the extra mile for a stranger just because it’s the right thing to do.
I can’t thank him enough. If you are looking for a place to bank that will back you when things are bad, Trenton’s branch is that branch. I wish I could give him 100 stars.”
