There’s never been a rush where I have to wait to do the exercise I want. The owner Marcus and the rest of the staff are super friendly and want to see you kill every workout. They offer cheap but effective training programs, and personal training options. As an added bonus, it’s tucked away in the art district of Dayton so it has a unique atmosphere.”

“Honestly, I don't know where to begin. Personally, I didn't know what to expect from excess 2+ years ago but walking through those doors and the welcome you receive no matter if it's day 1 or its year 10 is crazy. Excess is so much more than a gym or a place to do crossfit.Everyone cares about you personally as well as the coaches during WOD's, Strength, etc. Everyone wants to succeed, better themselves, and just have a space to decompress and that's what excess offers in spades. So many of us chat outside of the gym and the connections I alone have made over the years will never be able to be replaced.Brody & Angie have cultivated such a great culture and atmosphere and you won't regret giving excess a chance! ??”

The boat house is easy to find and when on the water our little part of water has lot's of wild life to see and watch. There is a boat for anyone - you don't have to be a top athlete to row and there are member's here that have all level's of experience. Plus you don't need to own - there are many boat's that are club owned that you can row!”

“10/10 recommend this gym to anyone in the Dayton area. It has everything you need to get a full workout in: dumbbells, cables, Hammer Strength plate loaded machines and so much more. Almost felt like an unbranded LA Fitness. Scott and the lovely front desk staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Best part of the gym (aside from the atmosphere) was the fact everyone cleaned up after themselves. Weights weren't everywhere, everyone was mindful of the rules. Great culture”

“Jayna, the members director at this location is so wonderful, kind, and respectful. She is very polite and mindful of different cultures and people. All other staff members are very professional and respectful as well. The swim teachers are amazing here. Ms. Jess (aquatic director)is awesome and very patient with the kids! Ashley is also an amazing swim teacher. The kids absolutely adore her. I have seen amazing progress with my son in a short amount of time.This YMCA has diverse members and staff as well! The locker rooms and facility in general is always so clean. They always greet you with a smile.”

“Been going there for years and I love it. Awesome atmosphere and the people there are really knowledgeable about any type of fitness, strength training, bodybuilding, all around health, you name it. They are all current or retired bodybuilders if I'm not mistaken, and offer personal training. Plus it's never crowded so I never have to wait to use a certain machine or bench.”
