Horrible Experience at UH Twinsburg Health Center - I recently had an appointment at the UH Twinsburg Health Center, and my experience was very negatives.I encountered an issue on my appointment day. Due to unexpected traffic, I arrived a bit later than my scheduled time, and my husband had informed the staff of my delay upon his earlier arrival. Unfortunately, upon my arrival, I was informed that my heart ECHO procedure could not be accommodated due to the delay, and the receptionist's tone unprofessional. What truly disappointed me was the perceived lack of empathy and professionalism displayed by the staff members. I felt unwelcome and misunderstood, which added stress to an already challenging situation.

Took my mom here this morning for a leg laceration. The care was exceptional from the efficiency of the front desk to the expert treatment provided by Al, the RN, and Laura, the CNP. They treated my mom with the utmost respect and care. I would highly recommend UH Twinsburg.

Had stomach issues. Pain and other things. Was sweating and just not right. Went here to hopefully get blood work and they did nothing. Absolutely nothing. Went to my primary doctor, then to a specialist. Both Doctors couldn't believe they didn't do blood work. Cost me a lot of money that I shouldn't have had to pay if they would have done their job. I was gonna tell them to DO the blood work buy didn't want to tell them how to do there job. Apparently I should have cause they DON'T know how to do their job. DONT GO HERE

Waited a total of 4 hours yesterday just to end up not getting the help I needed. It was a complete waste of my time I would’ve been in and out at another hospital. They refuse to refill my medicine (which I really need) without an appointment and when I was finally able to be seen I was told by the provider to go to a professional ? like are any of y’all not professional like??? I don’t get it. I’d rather go to the Cleveland Clinic in Macedonia.

I've been here two hours now and still haven't been back.I'm aware my foot being injured isn't "top priority" but that's why I came here and not a emergency room so I wouldn't get bumped back over and over. Yet here I am.This isn't really an urgent care. It's just claims to be but just as slow as an emergency room. None of us coming here are dying so why is others hitting prority over me when I've been here this whole time. I even called in advance asking about online scheduling and was told it was walk in only as first come first serve. They close in 2 hours and I've been here for 2 hours. This is insane and if I would of known. I would of just made the hour drive closer to home and got into my actual doctor.Do not recommend. Just call your Dr.

We took our neighbor here after she had badly cut herself with an electric hedge trimmer on a Sunday afternoon. Not sure how they “triage” people, but some older woman who complained of “hip pain” was taken in before our friend who was clearly bleeding. How is an old lady with “hip pain” ( who walked unassisted back to the car with her daughter after a very short visit) seen before someone with a visual injury??!! Hip pain is NOT an urgent matter! Urgent care if for URGENT matters!!! Not sore muscles, sore throats, and other minor maladies. Please leave the urgent care for people who need immediate medical attention.

Extremely unprofessional. Won't refill my diabetes meds without appointment. Won't give me a virtual appointment. Expects patients to risk their lives (comorbidity and omicron risk) for a metformin refill. Avoid this place at all costs.

been trying to get in contact with my dr for 4 days to fill my medication. their phone lines have been “down” and when i call they hang up on me. they are very very incompetent and if i’m off my meds for too long i will get seizures. DO NOT go here i cannot stress that enough. if you want doctors that don’t care about you or your treatment then by all means go to this place. if something happens to me because of their incompetence i will make sure they are held liable. DO NOT GO HERE

Google search link: They say you don't get a second chance for a first impression. I am a healthcare provider who would normally disagree with this statement given the (many) variables we often see in the acute healthcare setting. We are new here. English is my second language. This review is related to my first and second interaction at this location. The first visit was for my son who was having wrist pain. My second visit, today, was for my daughter who was having symptoms related to a chronic condition. Let's start with Debbie, the Medical Assistant/ receptionist. I would ask her the following questions: 1. Do you understand that part of your job involves meeting people during one of their most vulnerable times? 2. Would you stop to consider that this person coming in today may be coming in for more than a runny nose or sprained wrist? **It could be a cold, a concerning symptom, and/or may find themselves embarking in one of what may turn into many referrals after this urgent care visit. **He/She/They may not want to be here anymore than you want to be here right now. 3. While your lobby is small and makes discussion of PII (personally identifiable information) and / or HIPAA challenging. **I am sitting in the lobby right now as a gentleman stands there explaining his rash and exposure to poison ivy. Should I, a complete stranger, be able to hear this? **Perhaps you should consider that form your patient just took the time to complete today with the reason for their visit today. NOTE: a. What if your patient was coming in for concerns related to an STI (sexually transmitted infection)? b. What if this the first time this patient found the courage to seek mental health help? 4. Could you make people feel like more than like a person and less like a number? **I understand it's almost time to go home. Please know I rather be home with my daughter on a Sunday afternoon. **You made me feel like an inconvenience, today... and I wasn't even the patient. 5. Did you know that 70 to 93% of all communication is non-verbal? The way you answered my ONE question would help me understand why someone else listening in or coming into this center, would hesitate to ask you anything at all. **My assertive nature helps me pursue answers despite a demeanor like yours, today. 6. To your Medical Assistant or LPN and Nurse Practitioner working the evening shift approximately 2 weeks ago. **Education is a big piece of the discharge process. **Early in my career, I was taught that discharge teaching begins at admission. Perhaps you should ask parents/caregivers if they have any questions prior to sending them away (that is exactly what it felt like). This is the way it felt: "Your wrist is not broken; go on your way. The MA is going to wrap up your wrist now. Bye now." **My 12-year old son may not know any better. Someone who values customer service and understands the privilege of helping others (backed by a 20-year career in healthcare) would notice your approach. Bottom line... I could understand the need to move quickly when you have a lobby-full of people who need to triage. I have been there and done that. That wasn't the case here today. Even if it was, I trust there would be a better way of handling busy situations. There is no excuse for your lack of empathy and customer service. We all have a story, and I am sorry if there is something going on in your life that makes you less resilient to demonstrating kindness. I hope management takes the time to read this. I hope you do better.

Went into UH Twinsburg medical center for urgent care, The receptionist was a very rude, and looked at me as just another number did not care. I asked how long was the wait she goes I don't know, I said okay well I'm in a lot of serious pain here, She doesn't even ask what's wrong or anything without any care in the world, as I said should I go over to the Cleveland clinic instead, She said I don't care. They need to restaff because they have some problems, and if you're going to work with people in that field you need to be professional. And kind. By the way Cleveland clinic welcomed me with open arms and were very professional and very nice.....

Nothing is worse than when you are in pain and your health care provider doesn’t believe you. My PT’s last name was Levan. He didn’t believe me when I told him where my pain was. I have a meniscus tear, but my pain was behind my knee, toward my calf. He has a great demeanor, which is really deceptive because while he was nodding and smiling, he also was poking my meniscus injury harder and harder as I kept telling him where my pain really is. Now my meniscus area hurts as well. He gave me a couple of exercises to do my first tome there, and what I mean by that is that he printed off papers and handed them to me, and didn’t have me do them so that he could check my form. The second tome, I asked him to please believe me and throw everything he had at me to help me heal. He smiled very reassuringly and basically threw me out of his office. I’m still in pain.
