“Had a great time visiting the shops on Lane! The Cool Uncles (a local band for kids) was playing outside and they were awesome! Live music elevates all occasions! Their playing made running errands feel more special and a lot more fun!”

“It's nice to visit another store, especially a Marketplace. This one is one of my favorites. Always has everything the store I shop at doesn't. A bit chilly inside, so bring a jacket, hoodie, or a flannel. Whatever floats your boat.”

“It's a plaza... There is parking and several stores. The entrance is a little weird.there is one light in the middle that usually makes you wait a cycle if you are west bound. If you turn too early east bound you will have to turn around because the first street doesn't access the plaza. There are speed bumps, but they are the gradual ones.”

“Roadways/isles ways need work!! Beginning to be a challenge to manage NOT to fall into potholes/ruts. Parking spots NEED to be deep enough to accommodate ALL SIZES OF "Normal vehicles!" I drive a Ram 2500. Since returning to the State of Ohio, I haven't found a SINGLE PARKING SPACE that is deep enough that my vehicle is NOT STICKING AT LEAST 1.5 FOOT OUT INTO THE DRIVING LANES!!!”

“I was here for work, but this is a nostalgic place for me, as I've been going there since I was very young. Some of the spots in Graceland haven't changed since, and new ones seem well established and friendly. The history behind this place is (to me, at least) interesting, and has nothing to do with the late Elvis Presley's home. Look it up, it's probably available on WOSU's website.”

“This is one of the better outdoor malls in the columbus area. Quite a variety of shops and such to visit. Much of it isn't rundown or otherwise undesirable. Obviously, it's not new or pristine and has room for improvement.Lots of parking available, although if you go to the more popular areas like Sams Club, it could be a bit of a walk for you.”

“Convenient little shopping center with a large variety of shops and restaurants. I'll be glad when they are finally done with the construction and repave the parking lot. Some serious potholes to avoid. With lights everywhere it's easy to get in and out. Plenty of parking. Lots are always clean.”

“Love to take my mom to first watch. It say it would be easier to manage where to go with better signs my roads leading into the plaza from all sides. Lots of roofs seem the same for those not from the area or passing by. We finally made it to First Watch after making a large loop.”

“The Bank Block Shopping Center opened in 1928. It was built by Don Monroe Casto at a time when shopping habits were changing. It had been traditional to do most of your shopping at a single grocery or general store, but this cutting edge structure would allow people to go to a single center to shop multiple stores at one time. Some of the early shops included Kroger, Piggly Wiggly, and, of course, the early bank that anchored it and gave it its name as the Bank Block: First Citizens Trust. Because of its history, the Bank Block has both an Ohio Historical Marker and a placement on the National Register of Historic Places, which it joined in 1998. An additional informational window is available inside the tunnel that connects to the back parking lot. Over the years, the tenants, of course, have changed. It currently has a nice variety of shops and restaurants, and it's quite enjoyable to stroll along and check it out. Many of the businesses have small patio areas for customers to relax on too. Some favorite places to check out include: Cub Shrub (great for gifts for kids!), Lion Cub's Cookies (giant, delicious cookies with a menu that rotates weekly), and Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams (yum)! There are a lot more places to check out both within the Bank Block, as well as along the street, Grandview Ave. Well worth a visit!”
