Walked in on a Sunday evening. The doors were not locked and they appeared to be open. My boyfriend and I were screamed at from across the store that they were closed. As we made our way to leave my boyfriend said, “aw shucks. We were just hoping to buy some Kiehl’s.” The older woman with white hair who had told us they were closed sternly said “we don’t sell kiehl’s at this location!” Honestly she seemed really afraid of us, as though she were in a hostage situation and not just an awkward moment with two bumbling people looking for face wash. It was super bizarre and off-putting. Sorry for not checking the hours but I would suggest locking the doors when your store closes

I ordered some perfume yesterday 05/18/2025 for pick up today 05/19/2025. I arrived and waited at the pick up desk. It was a lady before me picking up also. It was an Older white lady with a gray short hair cut working the pick up desk. I showed her my order on the Ulta website. She told me she needed the barcode that was sent to my email. I told her I never got an email with a barcode. She said when a pick up order is ready a barcode is always sent. I showed her all my Ulta emails and all but one was months old. The one email that was from the prior day was a password reset email. I went back to the Ulta website and showed her. My name was at the top of the order and it said it was ready for pick up. She says again that I should have got an email. I told her I have my Identification and the order is already paid for. She said no the order is not paid for until I scan the barcode. So I ask her can she get someone else to help me. She said she is the manager. At this point I’m annoyed because my bank account was charged so I know I paid. So I said I bought the product thru a third party website. This was my first time using the pickup option at Ulta. I also said look can I just get it here’s my ID and the order on the Ulta website. The Managers says oh well I didn’t know you could buy thru a third party. I was annoyed because her body language made it seem like I was thief and lying. Also I felt racially profiled against! It’s crazy that other reviewers talk about this same lady. Why do she still have a job at Ulta? I will be reaching out to the public for help. There’s no reason or excuse for her behavior!

Really impressed with my first experience shopping at this location! Clean organized store, well staffed with associates who were managing to put away stock while remaining friendly and attentive. Very impressed with the customer service I received from multiple associates.

My experience was like a scene from a movie. I had a makeup appointment for a wedding and I was running late. Once I came in, multiple people quickly helped me, started working on the look and even helped me take my twist out. One person was doing my makeup while another offered to untwist my hair, Carissa, and did it gently :) Faith did a great job on the makeup and replicated my inspo very well and overall I appreciated the accommodation and grace when they didn't have to offer what they did. I'd go again

During my visit to Ulta Beauty, a sales associate named Riva or Rita, an older woman with short gray hair and glasses, overwhelmed me with pseudo-scientific claims after I mentioned having eczema. Despite telling her that I am under a dermatologist’s care and using prescription medication, she insisted I needed Vitamin C from Peach & Lily, which can further harm the skin barrier of those suffering from eczema. She also falsely claimed that gut biome issues cause eczema and misrepresented La Roche-Posay sunscreen, stating it contained bad ingredients and strong fragrance, which is entirely untrue.
I am deeply concerned that Ulta Beauty allows employees to spread misinformation about medical skin conditions. False claims like these can lead customers to make harmful skincare choices. I urge Ulta to improve employee training and ensure staff refrain from providing unverified medical or scientific advice. I would appreciate a response on how this issue will be addressed.

Went so see Shay for my brows! Tint, waxing and laminated! They look amazing! I have very sparse brows, but when they were done they looked so full and dark! Love them! Shay was sweet and professional and even helped me pick a brow gel that worked for me! Thank you Shay!

I almost never leave reviews, but after the experience I had and going home to see that others felt the same way about this Ulta location I had to. If you are a Black woman do not go to this Ulta location, because you will be followed and asked every minute if you need any help. There was an older woman and every time I looked up she was standing right there and even walked up to me and asked if I wanted to put my items in an Ulta bag. Then as I’m bending down to get brushes, she’s standing behind me with another store associate having a supposed conversation, but it was obvious that she was watching me. While in the store I tried convincing myself that they were being helpful, but I knew it made me feel very uncomfortable and having other reviewers validate exactly how I felt made it all make sense. Please listen when I say if you are a person of color do not go to this store, it’s not a coincidence when more than one person makes a review about racial profiling.

The purpose of this review is to recognize and praise Christiana for her wonderful assistance in helping me find the products I needed. Last Sunday, August 11, 2024, I went to the Ulta Beauty store in Upper Arlington, OH. The young woman who greeted me at the door offered to help me find products, as did another person a few minutes later. Although it was reassuring to know there were salespeople around, I wanted to find things myself. However, about ten minutes later I admitted to myself that if I wanted to save time on my shopping expedition, I had better go back to the salespeople. Christiana could tell I was looking for someone, so she cheerfully offered to help me! She seemed knowledgeable about the products I was looking for, and didn’t automatically lead me to the higher priced items. She even showed me eye makeup that she uses, and was able to honestly tell me how long it stays put throughout the day. She remained kind, polite and informative throughout the process. I told her manager how helpful she was to me, and Christiana accepted my compliments humbly + appreciatively. It is my wish and hope that those in upper management will realize how great an employee she is, and will reward her in a meaningful way!!

I was referred to Ulta by multiple friends, although I have never been. In June, I booked an appointment for hair/makeup in September, in preparation for my October wedding, which I also booked an appointment for hair/makeup. Last week, the manager called me and said they had no stylists available for either appointment. I looked on Ulta's website and they have no options available for my wedding date in October at any location, with any stylist. This is incredibly sad and with multiple month's notice, unacceptable. I don't know what i'll do with my wedding now, especially since I thought I had a plan almost 6 months in advance. :(

Wonderful customer service. I needed a lipstick and couldn't remember color name. Francesca looked it up from my acct. The store didn't have my color. She offered to ship it for free, or direct me to a store that had it.
