I was on flight 5157 on Feb 14,2024. The clerk at check in took my drivers license but issued 2 tickets to my husband none to me. I did not notice until at the gate. Once there I was told I did not check in therefore they gave my ticket to a standby person. This clerk had to have help to issue a new ticket 23C the seat In front of the toilet. I sat down the stewardess was beside me and in a calm voice I said "I am pissed of about losing my seat". She responded with a stern face and voice "it is talk like that that gets you put off the plane". She scared me, I was afraid I would not be able to fly. Very uncomfortable. The other stewardess talked to my husband and made arrangements for the stand by person to move (not to my bad seat) but to another seat in the plane. My stewardess came and told me I was moving, I was afraid off the plane. But I was moved to the seat I had picked in December and paid extra to pick. This was great however, the stern stewardess kept coming by asking me if I was better. She did this 3 times and I did not feel taken care of, I felt accused. Then to add insult to injury, I saw the first class stewardess take a donut to the stand by person and thank her. I was the person wronged by the Airline no I am sorry nothing. Mine you I am soft spoken and never raised my voice or cursed. There is no customer service department for American Airlines and no way to talk to the Dayton management. I felt this was my only avenue to vent

My 6:50am flight was cancelled at 10pm the night before. I tried to rebook and there was a 4 hr wait on the phone and online it said I had to call and couldn't change online. I was automatically rebooked and missed my entire work day and dinner. I accepted all of this as things happen (and at least I was safe). The last straw was on the rebooked (now a connecting flight unlike the direct flight I had booked). They shut off carryons about 3 people before me and said the space was full. I asked if I could try anyway because I was trying to make an impt meeting (I was meeting my CEO) . The agent snapped and said "get to the back of the line and check your bag or I will cancel you and you will have to rebook the entire flight!". When I got on the plane there was at least 19 spots that I counted before I got to my seat. Totally unacceptable. I remember the days when the flight attendants and agents went out of their way asking people to put backpacks under seats etc. what an awful experience American Airlines!

Missing $50 on a refund that was issued. Called the refund line and they said talk to the concerns department. Contact them to be told that refund can help. Really concerned that neither department has helped me and I'm out money that just seems to never be coming back.Finally got someone to tell me that they have no intention of refunding the rest of my money. Will not be using this airline anymore

No warning on any problems with my flight and am losing a whole day of vacation because of flight issues with lay overs In dayton ohio and even longer layover in Chicago all my other people are in Vegas and enjoying vacation wow don't use AA if you can get another carrier

I always fly American they have less troubles than the others And more flights! They have also started the food service back up in first class.

I hate American Airlines! They make seats that are only comfortable for small children and board flights on efficiently. Look to Southwest for improvements AA.I have been traveling every month for twelve years and have never been delayed like this. And in two hour increments so you can’t just leave or find another flight. Poor communication, poor customer service, poor experience overall. The only reason I booked the flight is because it was a direct to DFW. I am never flying them again!#AmericanAirlinesSucks#DougParker#NeverAgain

Bravo AA! I was impacted by Southwest foolishness. After 3 cancelations and the audacity of them to maybe book me by Saturday Dec 31 was a joke. So I booked a flight with AA, said a prayer and prayed all night that my flight will not have delays. All smooth sailings I had to get to Dayton, Airport. Smooth sailing went to TSA. Here they are frisky. I got frisked by some old lady. Had to remove my boots. Some Airports you don't. Patted me down, and do a turn and all. Checked in, and waited to board. They have a smooth process. Not confusing crap like SW. Flight was on time, like Ashanti says. Nice flight crew. In fact they had valet check in. So any carry on that can't fit under the seat they give you a claim tix and you pick up on your way out. I like that, it allows ppl to exit more smoothly. Good snacks on the plane. Comfy seats, recline and space. Definitely will use AA as my first option. made it my first stop and then BWI. Happy Shelly.

Worst travel experience of my life! Late leaving Houston and made us miss out connecting flight by seconds. Plane was still at the gate but the door was closed and they would not let us on. Rebooked us for a flight 4 hours later, that flight departure time came and went without anyone attending the gate for an explanation. Finally two and a half hours late they finally boarded us. Arrived in Dayton at 02:30am. Blizzard, no shuttle service, no ubers, and one taxi driver. Finally got a ride to the hotel at 04:15am and had to start work at 07:00am. Finished the job and booked on a flight home, we arrived at the gate 14 minutes prior to departure and the door was closed they wouldn't let us on. We could see people passing through the jetway boarding the plane and they refused us entry. They are repeatedly late without explanation but you better be on fucking time!! Next time my company books me on American-I'm not going!
