Quick, friendly service- 4 stars because evidently the price with insurance is cheaper than if you use your own insurance, I feel like that was a way to get you to take the insurance and pay more. The car was nice also!

Check in was deceptive and pushy about signing up for their insurance claiming "my credit card travel insurance wouldn't cover the car and Hertz would come after my personal insurance."Look, I travel enough to be in Hertz President's Circle. I know how insurance works. Stop preying on people using fear. It's not good business.

BEWARE .. Do NOT rent from Dayton International AirPort location.... I found out the hard way . I’ve rented from Beavercreek, Ohio to Atlanta, Georgia and this is the WORST. This is NOT under Hertz polices and Great customer service .FORGET THAT If you need to rent from here for convenience.DON’T. I was charged an EXTRA $135 per the 2rentals claiming I smoked in the vehicle and It wasn’t cleaned. I DO NOT SMOKE... WOW! cleaning fee? There was NOTHING in the vehicle. I can go on and on. At the end of the day do NOT , I repeat do NOT rent here expecting the same Hertz experience. You will NOT get that here. This location is franchised out and you WILL find out the hard way.i was charged almost $700 for less than a week WITH free gold rentals.. againWOW!!! I am a GOLD MEMBER and I will NOT EVER rent from this location again... I have been renting from hertz for years.and I am TOTALLY unhappy!! ???..signed... #extra$300charged

Amazing service!! Chuck was up selling an upgrade while I was out looking for my vehicle so much I went back inside and upgraded to a Toyota Hybrid per his recommendation.They didn't have any clean so we pulled a dirty one. Ran it through the car wash and cleaned the inside so it was ready to rent. Such an amazing customer service experience.Thank you so much for going above and beyond!!!

Easy and quick. 1/3 cheaper than Avis.Avis also jammed me to buy the GPS navigation add-on. Does anyone still use those?

I travel to Dayton for work occasionally and each time I have and rented from Hertz, the car has been modern, clean and reliable. Marcy has been working the desk the last couple of times and she’s very friendly, calm and willing to go out of her way to help. Thanks for the help and kindness Marcy.

Zero stars should really be an option - All of my Hertz rental experiences have been superior here in Los Angeles. The Dayton Ohio Airport location should not be allowed to carry the Hertz name. Because of a missed flight, I ended up in Dayton without a reservation. This location was going to charge me $150 per day for a Toyota Corolla - my punishment for being a "walk-in" . But lo and behold, wonderful Chrissy came up with a "promotional package" that would save me several dollars. Same car for $70 per day. But she conveniently forgot to mention that this "reduced rate" included a $150 insurance coverage fee which I absolutely would have declined had it been communicated. And I foolishly failed to read the fine print. This unscrupulous manner of ripping customers off under the guise of offering a "promotional package" is despicable. Oh! Had I not fallen for the "promotion", I would have paid $600 to drive the Toyota Corolla for 2 1/2 days. Instead, thanks to Chrissy's generosity, I paid $483 for a car for which the total rental cost (minus taxes/fees) was $210. Stay clear of this place if you can. They are not your friend.

Really great customer service. I cannot thank Marsi enough for staying past midnight to make sure I got my rental car. My flight got in late and I had been traveling more than 10 hours. The rental experience at Hertz was a bright star on my otherwise dull travel day.

My flight was extremely late and Marsi from the Dayton International Airport waited until we finally came in long past midnight.It is the people that care so much like Marsi that make us a lifelong customers —-Professional, selfless, a great attitude and very helpful to some tired travelers. We need more like Marsi. Thank you for exceptional customer service. I give this business my strongest recommendation!!

Unfortunately my glowing review of Hertz has gone from a 5 to a 1. Thanks to Dayton's airport Hertz failure to log the car in on the day it was returned. The Cincinnati airport Hertz was a lifesaver in getting us into a rental so we could see a concert in Dayton after a flight cancellation. We returned the rental to the airport at 6:45am July 24 and were told by a female garage employee to park it and leave the keys in it. She informed us to go to our gate as she was busy with about a dozen cars parked in front of us. All good until July 28 when I get a text message from customer service telling me to return the car. After waiting an hour to talk to and explain I had returned the car she said she would send them a message. Apparently that worked and the car was logged in July 29. No receipts sent to my email. Credit card statement arrives with false changes. Call customer service, wait for another hour and was told he would send a message to verify my claim. No response! Have a Hertz rental for Vegas in September that I will cancel if this is not resolved.
