I cannot say enough good things about the Deli Department at the Kroger at Northwoods in Vandalia. My Granddaughter had a garden wedding reception on July 15. She was on a budget for about 100 guests. She put me, her grandmother, in charge. I am from Columbus but visited Northwoods in my planning. From my first visit the person at the Deli spent time giving me options and tips and helped me formulate a plan. My order # was 806. How was I going to pick up the food, get it to the Wedding Venue (Secret Eden in Dayton) and get to the church by 10:30? My call to the Deli on the Monday before relieved my fears and they told me not to worry. 7:00 AM day of wedding, they had everything ready and helped us get it into carts and to our cars. They were so wonderful!!! The trays were beautiful!!! Food was delicious. Everyone and everthing exceeded my expectations. Beautiful store & wonderful people!

I was a little early to a close I had scheduled for today, so I stopped into Kroger to pick up something to eat real quick. The sushi was fantastic as usual, but it's the woman at the self check out I want to talk about. She complimented me on my outfit as I was walking up and was super sweet. Her and I had a great conversation as I was checking out and then she wished me well. Nowadays, it feels like pulling teeth to get someone to be nice just for the hell of it. This Kroger obviously does not have that issue. I don't remember her name because it was pretty exotic and long. But she was a shorter woman with a big smile on her face that I will never forget.

Never get the order correct, play 'kick the can'. They admit no wrong, even give a name that does not work there

I've been in this area almost 4 years now and usually shop at the Troy marketplace location but decided to try the Vandalia store for a change. It was busy but not too crowded for a Sunday morning. Naturally it's smaller than the Troy location but it was my impression that they may actually have more Hispanic and Mexican items on their shelves. And the fresh produce section may be a bit larger as well. Everything else seem comparable to the marketplace location. Coming from Tipp City the Vandalia store is more of a straight shot down the highway and is a tad closer than the Troy marketplace, so I'll definitely be visiting again!

very helpful staff, especially the ladies who work at self- checkout. They are go out of their way to be pleasant to everyone. Also the gentleman who works in produce is always such a delight to talk to, he has such a positive attitude.

I’m a Flight Attendant from Sc & my Payroll Check was NOT cashed due to me NEVER having the experience of ever cashing a check with them. I NEVER needed their service for cashing a check Bcuz I have a bank with Direct Deposit however my ATM card was stuck in the machine so I thought I could use their service of cashing the check well KROGER LET ME DOWN as a Loyal customer for a service that they offer.I’m a Residence of Sc but Kroger advertise CHECK CASHING to their customers

I was in the Kroger in Vandalia today around 4:00 PM. I had been given a best customer coupon to get $7 of a purchase of $70. I had added to my cart of other groceries a bag of 24 count frozen hamburger patties. The shelf tag was marked 15.99. I thought that was a good buy. When I checked out the register rang up $16.99. I made a complaint and even though the sticker was wrong the manager who was consulted told the Kroger associate to charge me the $16.99 instead of the price marked $5.99. It was really odd they would not honor the price marked. Usually Kroger is pretty good about this sort of thing but not today. So starting today I will no longer do my shopping at Kroger, I will transfer my 7 prescriptions to Meijer where you do not need to pay a membership fee to get free Metformin. That prescription membership club of Kroger's is a rip off. One more thing wrong with Kroger, they do not really look at their customers. Because I am tall and sometimes where a cap they call be "Sir," then when they look at my face and they will say "Sorry Ma'am." This Kroger sucks

This is Wednesday May 20th , 2020. I went to my local Kroger on Northwoods Ave. in Vandalia Ohio 45377 (where I go 3 to 4 times weekly). And I went down the toilet paper aisle. There was no pricing on the shelves for any of the in stock product. Including toilet paper and paper towels. I asked for someone to come down the aisle so I could check the prices. I was told by a Customer Service Manager that if I wanted the price then i`d have to carry them up , wait in line and have the price checked. That is totally unacceptable. So I asked for the store manager and a 20 to 23yo kid came and talked to me. His badge said store management not store manager but I gave him a try. He proceeds to tell me that they are doing their best to keep up with turnover and demand. I said that`s great but I was in the store on the 17th and there were no prices then either. At that point he offered to scan the products for me and give me prices. I have most likely made my last trip to that store. It has been declining for years and I am not happy with asking for a store manager at 2:30 on a weekday. And that manager decided to avoid me and sent a management trainee to handle a problem. Obviously they are so big that they don`t care about customer service. And they will tell you what you will pay for something. But you don`t dare ask the price... Otherwise you can carry it up there one at a time and get the price... I wish I could give 0 stars but this site wont let me... Step up your game... Huber heights and Englewood have no problems like this and they are only 3 or 4 minutes further away... You truly need a new management staff there from top to bottom. Been a manager in retail for over 30 years and when there is a problem I handle it... I do not pass the buck....
