I had my return filed today by Judy, it overall was a quick appointment and she filed everything accordingly after reviewing everything.
That said, she initially told me they wouldn't use my mortgage interest as a claim because it did not hit the $14,600 threshold. After about three double takes and looking everything over she realized I in fact could with everything rounded together. I get she works herself hard this time a year and everybody is capable of mistakes but she really does need to make sure she reviews all documents closely the first time around to ensure all tax claims can be utilized properly. I might not have been able to claim the mortgage deductible if she hadn't caught herself and reviewed everything more closely.
Now that I know how to add everything up I probably will just file my taxes myself from now on. I don't want to rist a potention mistake like almost happened here and cost me money.
