I attempted to place an online order for 6 bags of Pumpkin powder (flour) using PayPal as payment their e-commerce system ended up charging my PayPal account and my bank account three (3) times and their system does not confirm order status nor is their any way to check if an order was received. I am out a fair amount of money not knowing how long it will take to contest the over charges with PayPal. Barry farm has an antiquated e-commerce system which needs to be brought forward to the 21st century. I have purchased their products in the past, and they are pretty good. I had forgotten about their on-line ordering system and then remembered from this most recent experience with them how bad it was 15 years ago. It has chaned little if any.

I don't know what the bad reviews are about. If you don't like buying on line or you can't check your email pick up the phone and call. It's pretty easy. I just called up and Kaylynn gave me the shipping price options, tools my information and dumped it it the mail. Pretty straight forward. Kaylynn was so nice and helpful. She told me all about the chickens and the peacock. It's the only place in America that has the high grade uncontaminated rye that allergy doctors recommend.

Visited the Barry Farm Foods site and used a recipe for Butter Frosting. It was AMAZING and the it deserves to be in ALL-CAPS!!! The best frosting I've ever had in my entire life. No more needs for Duncan Hines pre-made stuff. The best. Here's the link: Thanks folks.

I regularly buy and consume gluten free flours milled in shared facilities (with gluten products). I have NEVER had a problem with them. I made a recipe using ONLY Barry Farm's gluten free flours and barely avoided being taken to the ER last night. THEIR PRODUCTS CONTAIN DANGEROUS LEVELS OF GLUTEN!!! I have NEVER EVER EVER had any reaction to anyone else's flours. I have tried multiple brands ALL with shared processing. Not one single problem EVER! DO NOT BE FOOLED! Barry Farms is simply a reseller. There is NOTHING safe about these products. I have no confirmation, but I am very suspicious that they are bulking up their products with cheap fillers with gluten because my reaction almost stopped my breathing. My gluten allergy isn't sensitive enough for low ppm (parts per million) contamination. I have no reaction to those. I only have reactions to full, unadulterated gluten products. My allergic reaction was equivalent to me eating pure wheat flour/white flour. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT DIE JUST TO SAVE A COUPLE OF DOLLARS. STAY AWAY FROM THEIR "GLUTEN FREE" PRODUCTS. If you read really carefully on their website, they claim over and over to stand behind their products, but they don't if you read their refund policy. They do not accept return on items unless it is "their error." I argue that deceptive advertising and contaminated products are their error. These "gluten free" flours are so dangerous. Please, especially if you have kids, you could do some serious damage to your loved ones. IT JUST ISN'T WORTH IT!!!! I almost died just to save some money over buying these items in a store.

THIS SITE IS A SCAM. Be sure to google them before placing your order. Nothing is in stock. I ordered salt a month ago and they told me it might be in stock this next week. The same story from other customers. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFO

I ordered some Gooseberry Pie filling from Barry Farm foods just a few weeks ago. Upon opening the package, ( which was very well protected) I found one of the jars had broken in transit, and leaked within its package. I email Barry's, and without question they quickly sent me another jar. Great customer service!

I should have read the review about this place, I did not. Several months ago I ordered online several items from them. I paid for them using my credit card which was immediately charged. After waiting for over two weeks, I emailed them to find out what is the status of my order. No one responded to my email. I called them and no one picked up the phone so I left a voice message. Again, no one responded to my message. I emailed them again and again no one responded. After 6+ weeks from the time I initially ordered, the package arrived. Barry Farm Foods carry some items that are hard to find elsewhere. So if you are willing to wait that extra time, go ahead and place your order with them.

Terrible customer service. Ignores emails. A month after placing my order they STILL HAVEN'T SHIPPED IT. I've used Barry Farm Foods in the past with NO problems, as has my family. Decent prices-- not good, but not exorbitant-- and I used them for more specialty items. This year I wanted to make a batch of my own multi-grain rice blend, so I turned to Barry Farm Foods for my different rices. Their prices for specialty items like black rice & Himalayan Red rice is much better than elsewhere, like Whole Foods & that's if fancy shmancy places like that even carry it. 3 weeks went by without an order shipment notice. I confess, I had so many things going on that I had forgotten about the order. My mistake. I emailed Barry Farm & a WEEK LATER they respond to tell me some of my items were backordered, that they expected the items to be in stock from the supplier some time that week and should they cancel my order or just proceed. I thought it weird. Why not email me about the delay from the get-go? Why wait for me to email them? I told them I wanted the items so I wouldn't mind waiting a little longer but to please let me know when my items ship & to send me a tracking number. Another week goes by. NOTHING. I emailed again, noting my frustration, but asking for assistance because in my neighborhood packages that are left on the stoop sometimes get stolen. I needed to know if my package had been shipped & had been stolen. NO RESPONSE. That was last Friday. Today, it's 5 weeks since I placed my order. I just emailed again. I will give them one more chance because I want my damned rice. But, BUYER BEWARE. You may get your stuff but they will make you wait an eternity to get it and they won't get back to your correspondence. A pretty shameful way of doing business if you ask me.

Waited 2,5 week before they sent my package - I'm excited to see when it arrives!?!? I have send them 2 e-mails and 1 request when I was paying the products - No response at all! Don't buy from these guys!

Taking all that was said about holding the order up to 10 days if a particular product is not available what happened to a courtesy email explaining why the order was not shipped? An email would have been the LEAST that this company could have done.And 22 days waiting for an order is still 22 days. This person also didn't address the "who care's, nothing we could do" attitude displayed by both himself and the telephone person who I first contacted.No apology or sentiments to that effect, or any attempt to even mention that a mistake had been made on my part that would cost me an additional $8.00 in shipping so that I could correct it. I have NEVER done business with any company that treated a customer so badly. If you want to be treated like your business is of no consequence and like you are an insignificant piece of garbage then dealing with them is on you.Oh yes your emails with your complaints will be returned unread to you so that there won't even be a record of your complaint.This why I have left my reviews here and on other sites. Take heed people.
