TA Fuel Island is a welcoming truckstop with a nostalgic, mom-and-pop feel. The station features retro signage and a small museum of its history. Though the building is older and needs some updates, the facility is clean and comfortable. It offers breakfast and dinner buffets, with breakfast served on weekends and dinner on weekdays. The dining area, called the 'hub room,' is quiet and perfect for relaxing, watching sports on a big screen TV. Staff are friendly, providing great service, and food prices are reasonable with generous portions. Despite some outside pump issues, the overall atmosphere is pleasant and inviting for travelers.
None of the pumps we tried outside would take our card. Had to go inside to the counter to make a payment. The building inside is definitely older, and does need some updates. Otherwise it was neat to see the history of the station and the retro signage outside.
