After all these years my account went negative today by 6 dollars. This last week has been horrific for me with a family member going to hospice. They charged me a NSF charge today right before Christmas when they seen I had enough in another account to cover itI lost all respect for them. They didn't update by text that I was negative just snuck the fee in. What kind of bank does this.

I’ll start off by saying everyone that I have talked to in the company is very nice and I wouldn’t say the frontline people of this company are to blame. With that being said, I have now waited over 2 hours on the phone and that’s not even an exaggeration unfortunately, just trying to make a car payment. If their app wasn’t such a nightmare I would just do it on there but unfortunately they have an app that looks like it was made by a beginners coding class. Every time I call for any reason it is a “so sorry we’re understaffed right now and working as hard as a we can” which I totally get for the people working there, but if that has been the case for literally months now, then the company is to blame at this point. Pay your people better, treat them better, do better overall because apparently no one wants to work there and clearly you need people to work there. I will certainly not be getting another car loan through 717, it’s been nothing but a nightmare.

Would have given it 5 stars prior to the 800 number. Waiting on hold for over 15 minutes for a 10 sec question and answer is ludicrous

I have witnessed from my family member who is young having problems with this bank. I am older and I do not agree with lack of communication for a year that proves the lack of training and skills to even do a job. Do not co-sign a car loan with this company. Do not allow a bank to hold your documents. Do not put up with bureaucratic nonsense . Banks are pulling all kinds of unethical practices. Read all the reviews they are all true. Will this bank be held accountable?

would suggest another bank. After being married and having joint accounts for 42 years, still denied wife from closing or moving any monies, even with a 717 POA. So, when your spouse gets sick, or is incapacitated don't expect to be able to take care of any banking needs without them.

DON'T BANK HERE EXTREMELY POOR COMMUNICATION, I hope this bank goes bankrupt for contributing to the hell people put me through. just as bad as the large national branch banks. Bunch of bureaucratic BS and runarounds. They put my grandma as main account holder for the loan on what is supposed to be my car. My grandma who is now dead MAY 2022 didn't want to have a 3rd car for herself at the time, she wanted me to have my own car. This car isn't even worth $11k anyway. It now has over 144k miles. If this bank didn't have my co-signer as main account holder I would've never had to deal with being attacked and threatened with the police by Robert and his attorney. My credit score was low in 2021 because I'm responsible and I didn't owe ANY money to ANYONE at the time, I had no debts to anyone. I wish I didn't sell my Toyota Camry for a sh!tt! Amerikan car anyway. I don't even like cars. Also I've had financial hardship since quitting my job because of the stress my father and toxic coworkers had me under and he drained ALL my money, on top of that I've had to pay $3k in car repair for this POS car in 2022, in addition to all my bills going up in cost for no reason. I haven't had time to call the bank to update them on my address or tell them that I had sent the late payment for October. So my car was repoed New Years Day, ended up paying over $800 in fees which could've paid 4 months of payments. I LITERALLY SENT THE LATE PAYMENT DAYS BEFORE THEY REPOED. I'm NEVER donating to charities to people or children anymore because of this since I'm not given any compassion like other people are given. I'm the one that needs help, I've always been on time with my payments for the year I've had this car with the exception of those past 3 months. On top of all this, I recently sent payment March 2023 in the middle of February EARLY, then my checking account i was paying from decided to suspend my account so the check was returned. EDIT DEC 2023. IT'S BEEN ALMOST 2 MONTHS SINCE I SIGNED POWER OF ATTORNEY FOR MY VEHICLE TO BE IN MY NAME, I HAD INSURANCE AT THAT TIME. I WANTED TO WAIT UNTIL I RECEIVED THE TITLE BEFORE GETTING A DIFFERENT INSURANCE SO I WOULDN'T PAY INSURANCE ON A CAR I CAN'T USE. I WAS GOING TO CANCEL PROGRESSIVE ANYWAY BECAUSE THEY'RE EXTORTING ME, AND YOU TAKE THEIR SIDE ASSUMING AS USUAL THAT I'M IRRESPONSIBLE. JUST YOU WAIT TILL IT HAPPENS TO YOU. MY REGISTRATION WOULDN'T BE OUTDATED MAKING THIS CAR UNUSABLE LEGALLY IF THIS BANK DIDN'T GIVE ME THE RUNAROUND OVER A YEAR AGO AND COMMUNICATED LAST YEAR WHAT I NEEDED TO KNOW TO HAVE IN SEPTEMBER 2022 BEFORE I LEFT OHIO. THIS BANK WASTES MY TIME AND WITHHOLDS NOT ONLY INFORMATION ON WHAT I'M SUPPOSED TO DO BECAUSE MY GRANDMA DIED BUT ALSO WITHHOLD DOCUMENTS LIKE THEY OWN YOU.

They suck worse loan I’ve ever gotten. Definitely check out other banks for a loan. Also their rates are usually higher then other banks

Called yesterday afternoon @4:07 pm and toll free picked up and indicated that all representatives were busy, waited 7 minutes, no response. Found mortgage loan department number on line and called spoke with (Ruth) and she transferred me to mortgage, Cindy Decluadio, explained had questions about escrow account, she indicated that this was the first time seeing this documentation and put me on hold for 17 minutes, came back and asked for number to call back @ 9:00 am tomorrow morning.No call this morning and tried 800 number which indicated everyone busy and called (Ruth) again and she transferred me to Cindy’s phone which went to voicemail and left message, @ 9:27 am Taylor called and apologized for Cindy’s lack of integrity and answered my questions. Thank Goodness for Ruth and Taylor.Do not want or wish for blatant response from 717 cu

I miss 7/17 credit union. They were a great bank. Good rates and allowed you to skip two payments a year. Adds on to the life of the loan, but it can surely help.

Impossible to contact, and the recording that finally makes you throw your phone keeps telling you how great their new system is, while it keeps getting interrupted by a second recording thanking you for your patience. A few top execs should lose their jobs over this, and have to pay extra compensation to the poor employees who have to take abuse from angry customers because of this foolishness. I know they have actual employees at the branches.

Edit: Due to the the response from the "owner" of 717 I will be closing all my accounts over the next 6 months. It will be a process because I have business accounts too. A bank should never have that much power over hard earned money no matter what conversion they are doing. It was very bad practice and I don't think its smart to continue with a credit union that normalizes complete shut down for days at a time.

Had a joint account with 717 for over 20 years. Never missed a house payment ever but was harassed by T-d . My wife went through so much abuse from them. I am sure if you have millions in their bank, you are treated differently! Can't reiterate again the abuse we endured! They don't want to deal with customers that have had bumps in their life!!! No compassion! Don't go by stars, investigate before you deal with anyone. All our accounts are now at a different bank! Thank God!

I have never written a review on yelp. I had to start a yelp account in order to leave this review. But, when a credit union hijacks your account for four days while they do some sort of system upgrade that they snuck up on us that is not acceptable. Not having access to manage your account for four days is the worst possible customer service I can even begin to imagine, you can't reach anybody by phone. There is no support whatsoever, all of the branch lobbies are closed. This is absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced from any financial institution in my life. Shame on them. I got paid on Friday. Can't get into my account. Need to get groceries. Bought a new car. Couldn't check my balance.
