Not enough customer service representatives. For monies charged by Spectrum, there should be much better service

As usual getting the runaround. And there's always an excuse, customer service says go to the store or the store says we can't help you go to customer service it's always a runaround. There is no help there except to take your money.

A couple of months ago my wife and I decided we no longer wanted cable, we had brought the two cable boxes into the store to turn them in. While we were talking to the worker about how we wanted just internet she had mentioned we had a landline phone on our contract and told us we had to turn it in. My wife and I were confused because when the installer came to our house to set up our boxes he never gave us a landline. Also, it’s 2025 the last time I seen a land line was when I was visiting my grandparents in the old folks home, and it wasn’t even plugged in. Today we looked at our bill and seen we were still being charged for two cable boxes, landline telephone, and a cable package. We thought we had switched over to internet only but I guess not. Thanks to spectrum my wife and I are switching to live an Amish lifestyle, their prices are outrageous and they seem to purposely make “mistakes” to charge you more money. Since the Amish technically can’t use technology, in about 1 month I will secretly use a smart phone to check if they’ve responded to this review. The ball is in your court Spectrum, can’t wait to see you explain your way out of this.

Typically very busy and for a lot of the stuff you have to deal with over the phone talking to someone from customer service, which makes it hard

After they raised my rate after one year, I cancelled and disconnected my service, I returned equipment in a timely manner. Being that the service had been disconnected for over a month you would figure I wouldn’t get charged right? Wrong, they still charged me ANOTHER monthly payment in order to return my equipment at the store. There is so many better internet and cable providers that don’t do shady things like magically raise your monthly payment and charge you for things you’re not using. Couldn’t be more happy to not use Spectrum!

Have to update equipment. Version 2 of Xumo TV box serious bites. Understandably it is joint effort with Xfinity. Fix it or come out with new version. The wifi7 router having to reset frequently. Prefer the XB7 modem I had when with Xfinity and the XB6 When I was in Altice market area. Had a tech to home was ok. He even noted the equipment subpar. Was a spectrum customer back in New York never had issues.

The man working Kyle , was so friendly and funny . He was workig his butt off and joking with my husband and I the whole time . He made our visit a good one .

Way too crowded for a mid afternoon on Wednesday and only two "trained" employees who were training new hires. Should have had more "seasoned" employees especially at this time of year. Counted 14 customers and decided I would try another time

So, though I did not have a great experience with customer service on the phone, when we went to the store to drop off the cable boxes, we had a great experience.
There was not a line, so we were immediately attended to. Our customer service rep was amazing, quickly addressing our issue (getting a better priced plan) and getting taking in the cable boxes.
My only complaint is there isn't a store closer to Youngstown, but the rep informed us they had too many thefts and run ins with riff raff, so they had to close the Youngstown store.

Be prepared to waste time. Employees are polite, but their processes are terrible and waste everyone's time.
