Went to Gatsby's at the Grand Resort for our anniversary. We won't be going back though. While the restaurant was elegant & the service excellent, the food wasn't great. Overpriced steak - husband got the aged ribeye (about $70) and his was ok - I got the NY strip ($45ish?) which I ordered MEDIUM-came out rare, sent it back, came back still raw in the center, went back again, came back well done. 1(*/)_/ The mashed potatoes were STONE cold, told the waitress, got another MP, which were also stone cold. We still tipped the waitress very very well (it wasn't her fault) but we won't be back. (They did have Gluten Free bread which was a plus, & dessert was very good) Food is much better at TARA - and it's not overpriced there, and atmosphere is better. Another thing was we were very dressed up - and although all the men wore jackets as required, most of of the women were dressed down- one had on jeans. And I don't mean jeans that you dress up with a beautiful top, etc either.

I really really wanted to have a great experience here at the spa. I really needed some down time and my favorite "me" thing to do is go to a fantastic spa with a wonderful service . While the facility is lovely, the quality of the services leaves much to be desired . Upon arriving they show you the locker room and you get changed into robe and slippers and then go into what would be considered or thought to be a relaxation area prior to your services / coffee, water and snacks are available which is a nice touch . There was much hustle and bustle of the staff going through this area / changing sheets / transporting supplies etc through this room - I thought it was kind of odd and somewhat distracting but not terrible . I arrived at 9:40 for a 10:00 appointment but was still in the "sitting room" until 10:15 - so the service didn't start on time - nobody let me know what was going on / but still - not that big of a deal . I booked a body scrub which was maybe a "6" out of 10. The tech was pleasant And the service was ok - I was instructed I could take a shower afterwards since I had a one hour massage scheduled as well . my massage was with Catherine . I had booked a relaxation massage not a deep tissue . I do not like the tech's weight laying on me - I don't want to be jostled around / poked at and I definitely don't want somebody putting pressure on my spine . I would say without a doubt that this was one of the worst - maybe THE worst massage I've ever had (and I've had many massages ). She was never in the muscle - just had her weight pressed on me the whole time - palming my skin with a repeated "petting " motion that was painful at the same time because she was pressing so hard she was stretching my skin everywhere - she was pinching me - she was on my spine back and forth - at one point she just forcefully pressed my hips so hard that my back felt like it snapped out of place and is STILL hurting . The final straw was when she repeatedly pinch my leg because she was pressing so hard . My muscles were never massaged - just a lot of pressure on my skin . I stopped the massage and told her i didn't like her style - it wasn't for me. and I was halting the massage . She said in a crappy tone "are you a licensed massage therapist "? I said I am not but I know what I like and this isn't it . She was totally defensive and acted like a jerk . I will NEVER step foot back in the place . It's overrated - the pricing I believe was in line with the area - but then again I paid for nothing . I did pay for both of my services and I tipped the girl who did my exfoliating scrub . The girl at the front desk was nice and did ask if I wanted to have the number for the spa director but I really didn't - I'm not going back there so it really doesn't matter . Had "Catherine " been more professional when i stopped the massage I would not be writing this review right now . This is the way of customer service in 2024- it doesn't exist and that's why I will never set foot in the place again . Businesses wonder why they are losing business ....this is why. If there is ever an instance where the customer is right it's in their own personal preference of a massage .

The food was phenomenal, the wait staff was professional and very efficient. It was a dining experience and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I have to give a shout out to the chef the food was really really phenomenal!!!

We just had our wedding at The Grand Resort and can’t recommend it enough!! Tracey and her staff did everything they could to accommodate all our requests and make the day so so special and stress free. We toured 10 wedding venues and hands down picked the best one. Everything was so organized and convenient, from having hotel rooms on site to airbnbs and vrbos close by as well. Also the food and drinks were amazing!! Thank you Tracey for all your help in making our day so special!!

You'll want for nothing when you choose The Grand Resort. Excellent food and friendly/helpful staff. The rooms are nice but a little outdated. I wish I could have taken advantage of their spa offerings.

was here for a guy's golf trip. The courses were good. Hotel was good. food at the various restaurants was good. we're definitely go back.

We were there for a party in the small room near the fitness center but we walked around the facility and it looked amazing! Gorgeous features indoors and a fabulous outdoor patio and pool area.The meeting room we were in was nice enough but perhaps they were short staffed or were prioritizing another event because the food service wait staff was absent much of the time. It was especially noticeable once we were finished eating. It became clear no one was coming to get our plates so guests began clearing the table themselves and stacking plates on a built in counter on one side of the room. Eventually someone came to get them.There was a bartender in the room and she was with us the whole time and was great! She did what she could here and there to help with the table service but she had a steady flow at the bar and couldn't step away for more than a min or two. Plus, it's likely she wasn't supposed to leave the bar unmanned.Overall, for the four or so hours I was there, it looked to me to be a great place to visit. Living in NC I'm not sure that will happen but I recommend it to anyone in the OH/PA vicinity.

I absolutely recommend booking at The Grand Resort for many reasons. If you want to have THE BEST wedding ever and stress free planning you MUST work with the following individuals; Tracey Roscoe, James, Rachel and Walker. We cannot say thank you enough for all your dedication, professionalism, and quality of work. Wedding planning and wedding day was superb. My husband and I did not have to worry about anything because the entire grand resorts team were on top of everything to allow us to enjoy the special day. They also made sure all of the vendors were on the same page and really brought everything together. Our wedding reception day was PERFECT and I know it wouldn’t have been as smooth and stress free if it weren’t for Tracey Roscoe, James, Rachel, Walker and the top class service from the waiters, bartenders and security men.BOOK AT THE GRAND RESORT!

I have never stayed at the hotel, but if it’s anything like the excellence of the rest of the facility, I am sure it’s great.I go for the cigar lounge, which is beautiful: Old Mahoney, televisions, fireplace, and a tremendous entire house bar ride outside the room.Just outside of the cigar lounge is a pool and Roman bath (that is open year-round). The food is excellent.The price of the cigars is typical brick and mortar, which was surprising because I ultimately figured you would be gouged because of the atmosphere.I could not recommend a more excellent cigar lounge. Great location, great cocktails, and great food. Did I mention the wine bar a floor down?

We very much enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back! Great place for couples, spa or girls weekend trip. They’re pet friendly, so that was another plus. The pool area is beautiful, and I’m told the Roman bath is open all year round!

I flew in from out of state for a wedding. The wedding had a block of the resort reserved. Check in was at 4pm. They scheduled the shuttle to leave for the wedding (3pm) before you could even check in to the room. I asked for an early check in and was initially told no. I then tried to cancel the room and they said they could accommodate an early check in at 1pm. I arrive at 2pm and my room is still not ready. I was understanding about it. I went back down at 2:30pm and it was still not ready. At this point I expressed my displeasure as it was 90 minutes past my check in and the wedding shuttle was leaving in less than a half hour. I flew across the country and paid $400 for one night in a room, and she offered the gym locker room I could change in for the wedding and then I could finish check in after I got back from the wedding, which would be past midnight. Extremely unhappy at this point, I then asked to cancel my room to the front desk representative. She stated they would not accommodate that and still charge me for the room. I told her I would have cancelled days ago when I originally requested to but they told me a 1pm check in would be honored. The front desk representative Amber made it appear as if I was the inconvenience when The Grand Resort created this massive inconvience. I cannot express how terrible the experience and customer service was. They could have found another room, as there were others available, or she could have just allowed the cancellation due to the issue they created. Neither occurred and the attitude of the front desk has still left a bad taste in my mouth a week later. I would not recommend staying here. You can get better customer service for 1/4 of the cost at the Holiday Inn down the street.

Had a wonderful time …that’s until I got a $100 charge two weeks after my stay. Waiting for someone to get back to me.Property was nice , food was amazing, very relaxing vibes. Room was very clean . Enjoyed the cigar lounge and brunch. I’m only giving this 3 stars because I have 1 unauthorized charge .Update - received another charge for 100 again so now 200 for unauthorized charges. Spoke to joe at corporate and he said he would have it looked into. Still no response back. Called Kelly gm several times she’s ignoring my calls . So I would say don’t waste your time because you will get unauthorized charges on your account and you won’t be able to solve it with corporate office or general manager . I reported them to BBB and filed a police report for fraud . Be careful here with using your cardsChanged my stars from a 3 star to a 2 star

We booked the Grand Spa Suite for a weekend getaway and it was worth every bit! This facility is beyond beautiful with absolutely outstanding amenities! The pools are gorgeous and restaurants/bars were all top notch!Rooms: The Grand Spa Suite was AMAZING!Walkability: Beautiful grounds to walk and short distance to art museum.Food & drinks: Perfecto!
