I am from Indianapolis and I try to come over to Waynesville at least once a year with either my cousin or my friends. I love Cheap Johns! Almost always find something and I usually at least leave with their McCall's candles which are the best. Have also purchased a neat lantern, candy, and small country items as gifts. The 2 ladies that work there are so friendly and we laugh a lot when there. I have never known them to follow me around the store. I am looking forward to my visit there at the end of this week. Don't think you will regret going to Cheap John's or any of the many neat shops in Waynesville!!! I've been visiting for years...only regret is that I can't make it more often.

So I just went to this store and the store itself is nice. Although, the two old ladies working at this store are VERY rude! All they did was b**** in front of me, my husband and my mom. They made me and my mom very uncomfortable. I will NOT be back.

The layout of the store is nice. On one side of the building is antiques, the other side of the building is more grocer retail based. When the women who work there aren't following you around like you're going to steal something, it's an interesting little store with lots of good product. I personally love their selection of teas they carry in the back half. They also have wonderful smelling candles. I will say, I frequent Waynesville a lot. I live near Cincinnati and make the half hour trip there monthly. This is the only establishment where I don't feel welcomed or comfortable , I always feel like I'm being hovered over as if the workers think I'm going to steal? It happens nearly every time in the store. :/ I love the store though.

Went in with family today everyone was wearing their mask except me due to having a medical condition. Lady asked me i informed her I had a condition then she asked me for proof ( which she is not legally able too) I informed her she was not allowed to ask me and it was against the law and told me to leave. I asked her for her name she wouldn't give it. Had no other issues from any other store. Told my wife to come we wasn't spending our money there. Learn ohio laws please. I will be contacting ohio on situation and see where it goes from there. She was very rude.

went in with family to shop i was the only one in my family to not wear a mask because of a medical condition I have. the lady told me I needed a paper to prove that and I needed to show here. I legally do not have to show her and she needs to learn the laws of ohio. I will be contacting ohio about her asking for proof and possibly taking it further. I left peacefully and told my wife we aren't spending our money there and we left.

A must stop when in the area. Always something needed that I didn't know I needed!! From cute coffee mugs to night light bulbs that you can't find elsewhere. Love to spend time just looking at what they have thought I need -- usually they are right!
