If you can't find a fabric for your project here I don't know if you ever will. This place is loaded with every color, pattern and texture. If they don't have it they can order it. Super helpful staff and samples to take home to help make sure you love the fabric.

What a wonderful gem this store is! Huge in stock selection of fabric and trims . The staff is not only extremly knowlegable but very helpful and patient in helping you find exactly what you want. Personalized service is so hard to find anymore and they have it perfected! Highly recommed...worth the drive, you will not be disappointed!

I'm not quite sure what prompted the ire of the pessimistic respondents to The Fabric Shack. Every interaction I've had with the staff has been pleasant and informative. They have gone way above and beyond in helping me select fabric for suitable usage. One fabric I picked for outdoor furniture wasn't going to hold up well, and they told me so. They then helped to find a comparable fabric that would stand the test of time. And it has! Their vast selections are high quality and of patterns and types that you can't find at other fabric stores. Prices are fair for your selections, whether high-end or as basic as denim. And they HAVE given me recommendations for quality seamstresses who can make sure their beautiful fabrics turn out as you would expect. The only time I submit ratings for companies on this site is when they go above and beyond expectations, and The Fabric Shack is one of them!

It's like a "Candy Store" for hone decor. The best and most exquisite selection of home decor fabrics and the trimmings. The people are lovely, knowledgeable and truly give you personal attention. I look forward to coming back again and again!!

I could wander around in this store for hours just looking at the beautiful home decor fabrics, all arranged by color, over two floors. But I didn't have to wander much because two well-informed customer service reps were able to direct me. I was looking for fabric to cover my dining room chairs (small DIY project). I described the color and texture of the fabric I was envisioning, and was led exactly to the right bolts of cloth to choose from. One woman worked the downstairs and the other upstairs. I got just what I wanted, quickly. A much better experience than the chain stores for fabric which are quick but without the rich variety of choices found here. Downfall is simply that Waynesville is likely a bit out of the way for many. But plan ahead and make a day of it by visiting the many antique and decor shops in town. Since it was a 40 minute drive for me, I did call ahead to make sure they were open (I'm learning, post pandemic, not to trust what's shown on websites).

We went it to discover options for an antique chase lounge we are hoping to refurbish...and discover options did we! The staff, notably Jesse, were more than knowledgeable and informative; giving us samples, ideas, notes, techniques, and options. He was full of genuine interest, patience, and cadence as we stumbled around in awe shock of the store. Beautifully laid out, with an astonishing array of the most unique and ornate fabrics... We have never had an experience like that and it is worth it for everyone to experience it for themselves.
