Tried to set up a new act online for my loan. Their online banking website is circa 2003 and took hours to set up my online act. Then got a call from the local Waynesville branch, he was unfriendly and as a matter of fact and said I need to come in and verify my identity when I just spent 2 hrs on the phone and online verifying it, when I explained I just spent all that time he didnt empathize he just said well sir you need to come in and verify most people dont set up service online. He then called me the next day warning I need to make a deposit which I did make a 500 deposit. Their call center is worse they pushed all blame back on me saying most people dont set up their act online. If you like as a matter of fact no empathy and awful customer service. Online banking from 2003 that makes you verify over the phone to log in and looks like a green screen then this is the bank for you! I canceled my checking act and I'm going to transfer my loan ASAP. I have investment acts and savings at my main bank and if they would of done this better I would of dealt with the website. It was their rude employees that drove me away ultimately, it sounded like a company culture thing because the 3 people I spoke to all acted the same. My normal bank is always happy and chipper the 3 I spoke to sounded like they loved to tell people no and make them feel dumb.So disappointed I really wanted peoples to work for me because it's so close to home.

I would never recommend this bank. If you write a check to someone who does not have an account at peoples they are now charging $10 to cash that check. If you have multiple checks they charge you $10 for every check you cash. FYI if you go down the road to the grocery store they only charge three dollars
