It Took me three days And 4 locations to replace a car that had been smoked in. Had to drive from Cincinnati to Toledo to Cleveland to do it. We were Physically ill for all three days. Nice people bad company

Worst experience in a rental car company. Rude staff, pop up fees and they do not accept cash for any part. Never again!

Rec'd the vehicle and the exterior was dirty, covered with dead insects all across the front grill, headlights and both side mirrors. The back was also dirty from what appeared to be driving in the rain. I washed the vehicle myself after my wife's outfit was ruined when she came out to check it out. Was told that the oil was just changed the same day we picked it up, yet the vehicle's information system stated there was 58% oil life left. Photos reflect me washing the vehicle prior to leaving the next morning.

This is what $972 gets you these days. Slick tread and damaged tires. No replacement was available and I was charged $140 for refusing the rental. Couldn’t even waive the cancellation fee for the inconvenience. Do yourself a favor and use Hertz

I am very ANGRY and unless the situation is rectified, I will never rent from Budget again and will tell friends, family, and work associates to avoid Budget as well. I just returned my rental and was accused by the female employee at the desk of smoking in the car. I do not smoke (I never have) and was so shocked by the accusation, I was almost speechless. She asked if there had been anyone with me that had been smoking. I told her no one was in the car with me and reiterated that I don’t smoke. She informed me the decision would be up to the manager. So based on her very poor sense of smell alone, I’m faced with a $450 surcharge for something I didn’t do.

Be careful if you leave your car there for a while. I left my car there for a week, someone stole my license plate there.Also, make sure you check your fluids before taking a rental car! I learned that the hard way!

Reserved a rental car about 2 months in advance. I had not gotten any reminder e-mails as the rental period drew closer. I called Costco (from whom I placed my reservation) and asked for their assistance. They did not see the reservation so the Costco agent personally made the reservation for me. I had a confirmation number and everything. When I got to Avis/Budget to pick up my car, they told me they did not have my car and were actually 6 cars short. What kind of a business is this? I have rented through them before and have had issues with being given the type of car I had chosen, but this was absolutely absurd. The website showed that cars "above" the intermediate class were not available but anything intermediate and below were available. Looked as if their website was accurate since it did show that larger car were not available. I wanted the intermediate so I was happy until I showed up and no car was available. I will pay more if I have to but I will rent with another rental company. I ended up driving my own car on my trip. What a waste of time and aggravation. Terrible business practices.

All around great experience. Easy to make a reservation on line. Agent was polite, professional, and made everything really comfortable. Will definitely recommend Budget to everyone I know.

Watch out for the $250 deposit they'll want to charge your card, after you have already paid to rent the car. Of course they bury that in their credit card terms of service and are not upfront about additional charges. This was 75% of what I rented the car for. After returning the car with a full tank they charged me a fuel fee 30 minutes after I left the location. Called to ask why and, of course, they blamed their computer system for the charge. The car was trashed and disgusting. They just had the trunk marked as having scratches, but I had to circle every panel on the car due to scratches and dents. The interior was stained on all of the seating areas, including the back of the seats. Used to use Budget exclusively for rentals...no longer
