I had my daughter’s prom dress altered here. The dress came out perfect , with no issues whatsoever. The staff is absolutely wonderful, patient and kind. Will continue to use them for all future alterations. I have already reccomended them to friends.

I got my wedding dress alterations done here by Valentina and it was an excellent experience. All staff were extremely kind and friendly and Valentina in particular was amazing! She did a beautiful job on my dress (which had some very detailed lace), listening to my requests and concerns and making adjustments at each appointment until it fit perfectly for my big day. They also pressed/steamed my dress and my veil and offered dress cleaning/preservation services after the fact which was very helpful to get everything done all in one place. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for alterations.

Valentina did an amazing job altering my wedding dress from a size 12 to a size 2! She is very detail oriented and made sure that the dress fit perfectly.

Sword Furs came as the top recommendation from the shop I got my wedding dress at. I emailed them and got an appointment right away. I had 3 fittings and then picked up my dress a couple days before my wedding. The staff was so kind and Valentina had my dress fitting perfectly. They had my dress and my veil steamed and ready to go when I picked it up!

Terrible service! Had my jacket in for cleaning and repairs. Over 3 months later not one thing was done. I had to contact store. It would probably still be hanging untouched. Very unreliable.

Sword Furs came highly recommended to by the shop I purchased my wedding dress. I needed pretty substantial alterations to my gown given that I had it for nearly 2 years before our wedding due to pandemic postponements. I was nervous that the dress wouldn't fit how I remembered it or that I wouldn't still love it but Valentina and the team at Sword Furs put all my worries at ease. Valentina worked METICULOUSLY to make sure my dress fit like it was made for me. I had 4 appointments total and it was obvious that she was reviewing every single detail of my gown to ensure perfection before my wedding day. My dress fit me like a glove and I'm so grateful to Sword Furs for caring so much about my experience and treating my mom and I so kindly! After 4 appointments, I kind of felt like they were family haha! The owner, was also very present and kind and made a sincere effort to talk to us and make sure we had everything we needed. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We took my daughter‘s wedding dress to Sword Furs for alterations, since they were recommended by the bridal salon she purchased the dress from. We could not have been more pleased with the experience we had. Valentina was delightful to work with, and she did a great job with the alterations. She made sure that my daughter was happy with her dress before she took it home from the store. The dress looked amazing on her and fit like a glove. Valentina is truly an expert in her field! Kudos to her for the great work she does! Would highly recommend her and Sword Furs for alterations!

I really wanted to love Sword Furs, but after my experience, I can't leave them a positive review. They came in highly recommended to alter my wedding gown from the bridal shop where I purchased my dress. I brought my dress in on June 26, over 3 months before my wedding. My second appointment was scheduled for August 7. I received a call the day before to cancel and reschedule. The next available after that wasn't until September 8. That was only a few weeks before my wedding, but I wasn't offered any other choice. Again, the morning of September 8 they cancelled on me again. Rescheduling to the following week, September 15. No hemming was done to my dress at that point, the bustle was not on my dress, etc only the shoulders were adjusted. I was very disappointed that not more was done in those 11 weeks, especially since my appointment had been pushed back numerous times. Scheduled my final fitting & pick up for Wednesday September 29..3 days before my wedding. The owner called me the morning of 9/29 telling me my dress still wasn't done and I couldn't come in that day. Talk about stressful for a bride. The week of my wedding. I picked it up the next day, but there were numerous things I wasn't happy with. The dress was WAY too long still since she hand not had hemmed for my second fitting, like she initially said she would, and then shorten it if I wanted for the final..that was not done. The cups in the dress didn't sit right. I had to walk down the aisle holding one side of my dress.. I tripped over it ALL day long. But what was I to do? 2 days before my wedding I did not trust them to finish even any minor alteration at that point. I will be contacting the bridal shop where I purchased my dress to also notify them of my less than great experience at Sword Furs so other brides do not go through the same stress that I did.

This shop came very highly recommended by the bridal shop where I purchased my wedding dress. Jim, the owner, is so kind and personable. He always makes an effort to come out and greet me when I come in. Valentina, the seamstress, is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. She did such beautiful work on my wedding dress! You couldn’t even tell it was altered, that’s how flawless her work is. I am so happy I chose Sword Furs. They will be my only choice for alterations in the future and I have been bragging about them to my friends and family! I would give ten stars if possible for my wonderful experience.

Sword Furs is absolutely amazing. The staff there feels like family, and treats each customer with respect and understanding. I took my wedding dress there to get altered and Valentina went above and beyond what she had to do. She took on the challenge of changing my dress drastically, to be exactly what I wanted. She calmed my nerves, and did the first alteration quickly, so I could see my dress, and rest easy. I highly recommend the Sword Furs for alterations on wedding dress. You will be well taken care of.

Last year I purchased a beautiful mink coat. The owner was very nice and helpful. This year, I wanted to add a mink belt for my coat. I went to the store and his staff member knew what type of mink I had and said the owner would get in touch with me. After one week, I called back and was told that he would again call me. After two weeks of no response, I called again and the owner answered. He said he would get back to me in a somewhat abrupt manner as though I was putting him out. It has now been three more weeks, for a total of five weeks, that I have not been contacted by Sword Furs. Is this how you treat a customer who made an expensive purchase, and may have come back to make additional purchases?
