I have found that the vehicles I’ve rented (approximately 6-12 times a year) to be in good working order. The staff (counterman/leasing agent) are courteous and efficient, always trying to have you on your way as quickly as possible.

The van that I rented was dirty, inside and out with a cat pee Oder. Also, there was trash inside the van that was left over from the last person who rented. There was less than a 1/4 of tank of gas and the service soon light was on and the tires were bald. The customer service staff member was lazy and had no concern for our safety, because he said " it's ok just bring it back the same way".

I rent from Avis all the time. It definitely better than Enterprise. 10/10

The inside was covered in white dog hair and something else - everything was sticky. The outside was covered in road debris because of where it was parked at the pick up/drop off location - they parked it right next to where the parking lot was getting resurfaced. I had to go to a car wash to clean it, inside and out.

Not a good one, did all the prep for the vehicle, and because I chose to a debt card usage over credit card. I was deniedAnd I have done it there before without a problem.

Not Avis, but a Budget rental. Dropped off my Toyota b/c a maintenance warning popped up- and yes Google said it wasn't worth worrying about, but between my terrible luck and trying to be responsible, dropped it off for an exchange. Replacement car had dirty windshields, someone else's earrings, and a half tank of gas. I dropped off my "needing service" rental full. Then as soon as I started the replacement up, the same maintenance msg popped up. Decided to drive on, only to have a low oil warning msg pop up. Stopped, bought 2 qts to take the reading from no oil on the dipstick to acceptable.7/31/23- Follow up, Budget / Avis contacted me back, sent me a pro apology letter and a refund on refueling and, received $81 and some change back. Would have preferred the issue to have not happened, but at least the fixed it the right way. Thanks, and will still consider renting through them.

We received our vehicle and went home. We immediately thought the vehicle would not suffice for our family. We inquired about the Chevy Traverse and was informed the Toyota was the only car available similar to the traverse. Went hinge and proceeded to load the vehicle and noticed the seats looked rained on, they were heavily stained. Oh well its too late. It was only in all the rear seats we didn't notice upon departure from the lot. The next day on the road we were greeted with a low air warning. We were on interstate 80 we pulled off and looked for an air pump. Found one but it didn't have an air gauge. So we had no idea which tire needed air nor his much to put in. I spent 18 dollars on a gauge then filed the tires. Last the tank wasn't completely full upon receiving the car. Initially I just thought that's what full was but upon returning and filling for the return it went past the point we received it at. Nie honestly the gas was just us bring petty because we really didn't care until things started compiling.

Terrible, Bad customer service from branch personnel. Non informative, rude. From the phone rep to branch rep doesn't seem to be on the same page. I do not recommend anyone to go thru what I've been thru. Insulting!!!

When picking up the car, he gave me the first one that had a headlight out and the inside was dirty. Especially the window. Like someone was smoking in it. The second car was better. But after I picked it up, I brought it home and cleaned it. Half way through my drive the gas door would not open. I had to take it to the Ford dealer. They were able to get it open after removing the mechanism that held it shut. I called Avis and told them about it and they did not offer any reduction in my total cost for the inconvenience. I get things happen, but I had to take time out of my vacation to fix it.Follow-up, after posting Avis reached out and are refunding 1 days of rental. I'm glad they took action. I changed my rating to 3 stars.

Had rental reserved for over 2 weeks. Booked standard SUV and the guy tried to put me in a hatchback! Not only was he late, but he charged me the standard SUV price instead of a hatchback price! Ridiculous. Would not go back.

Horrible experience. Ordered a car with a car seat and they didn't have one. Car smelled like smoke. Do not go here.

I shouldve LISTENED to the reviews. It was a bad experience period. Set up everything online but once at this location the guy at the desk told me EVERYTHING different. I needed extra deposit/credit check/ utility bills..The website didnt say anything of this. Stay away from this place like the reviews said.

This is the worst avis around. I don't know how the other locations are, but this one will take your money, tell you your reservation is booked but when you get there they have no cars. I have been through this 3 times now. I'm done and I'm done with avis. The last time I tried calling before and no answer. Called twice! Checked online and my reservation said it was booked and ready to go. If there are no cars an hour before its your time to pick up rental they should call or email. Will take my business elsewhere for now on

Needed a car to get to Detroit airport, price was awesome and so was the local rep. picked up right on time at 8 am. car was brought around front for me and I was on my way. I had a little hiccup with the bill but once I called it was squared away easily and within minutes everything was back to normal. Definitely will use this place again.

As a public service to everyone NEVER RENT FROM HERE!Worst customer service I have EVER experienced in my life.Besides his horrible attitude I reserved a Toyota Camry and he gave me a 4Runner SUV gas guzzler. It caused me to pay almost double in gas. He made me bring it back on a full tank when he didn't even give it to me full!DO NOT RENT CARS FROM THE WICKLIFFE OHIO LOCATION!!!
