Carl and his team catered our office Christmas party. It was a "smallish" event of 20 people. From making the initial inquiry, to orchestrating the details, to patiently and quickly answering my myriad of questions, they treated our event like it was the most important thing they had going. The day of the party, the man who delivered the food arrived exactly on time and set up was effortless. No detail was overlooked. Most importantly, the food was absolutely fabulous, including special meals Carl created for employees with dietary restrictions!!!! Everyone went back for seconds, always a good sign. It is nearly impossible to make everyone happy in a work environment, but Carl and the La Vera team did just that! A huge thank you for a wonderful party and for making me look good!!! :) Marge J.”

“WAY MORE THAN IT APPEARS TO BE FROM THE OUTSIDE! PIX DONT DO THIS HOME JUSTICE!Came to watch a show. They were packed. HOWEVER~ the Owner (Gem of a Lady) insisted we(3)stay & listen. I'm so glad we did. We were permitted to tour room after room browsing through history. We did not stay overnight, but the rooms we peeked into were very well kept. Staff was politely cleaning rooms & resetting the candies. We were there 45min and still hadn't seen it all. LAKE COUNTY MUST SEE! There is a fabulous dining area as well as a coffee type area on lowest level. PLENTY OF PARKING HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE with ELEVATOR”

“This past winter I was searching for indoor activities to do with my almost 1 year old and stumbled upon TLG. We signed up for the free intro class, and have been attending weekly ever since!

They offer a range of classes tailored to your child’s age, and each class follows a curriculum of skills. All of the teachers and staff are friendly and very pleasant, and so good with the kids! My toddler loves Teacher Evan so much that he has started giving him hugs every time we arrive.”

“We had a baby shower there and it was a great space! Great layout for several food/drink/gift tables. It was very clean and up-to-date, everything was in good condition. I would definitely recommend! Shout out to Mike, who was so pleasant and helpful!”

The venue has some of the best staff, Gina & Sophie are so incredible and easy to work with, no matter what the event is or how complicated the planning might have been.There are so many options for photos on the property as well as the best rain plan for any of your outdoor plans that get ruined because of inclement weather.Gina and her team are always willing to go above and beyond for their clients and I honestly don't know that I can say anything other than wildly positive things about the entire experience of working with Hillbrook.The food is consistently good, the staff is consistently professional, the venue itself is beautiful so if you are in the market for a romantic, beautiful and elegant venue, this is your spot!”

“We’ve decorated and catered several times at the venue upstairs and downstairs especially prior to the name change and the staff has always been very accommodating and friendly first with Karen and when she retired with Sandy, she is a gem as well!! The kitchen is just the right size to take care of everything you need. With the banquet rooms ample size to accommodate a large crowd. I’m sure there will be great changes coming with the new name. “My husband and I had our wedding at Signature Events yesterday, and it was wonderful! I already knew things would be good from how they handled my church's anniversary dinner, but Ms Lisa and her staff truly went above and beyond for our wedding! They handled everything: décor, food, setup, cleanup. I didn't have to lift a finger. All I had to do was meet with Ms Lisa and tell her what I wanted. It was such a load off my mind after all the other things I had to do with the ceremony. And everyone there is so friendly and accommodating. They really treat you like family. Their prices are reasonable, too. I would recommend Signature Events to everyone!”

“I had my reception here for my wedding they provided the linens for the tables and chairs as well as the dishes and silverware for dinner . We used the small hall which was bigger than I thought it was really nice and newly renovated. As well as having a dance floor in the middle which was nice they communicated with us and did a great job of setting up . Also wanted to say they included in the services a dinner menu and tasting which was also nice the food was amazing we had so many people tell us it was better than other weddings . We also used the bridal suit which also was renovated and had plenty of space to get ready and a fridge and mirrors for getting ready and private bathroom . The services were awesome the people running it were very nice and respectful. I would highly recommend this place for a venue for your ceremony if need be or the reception it’s beautiful as well inside the long area too.”

“I had the opportunity to rent the Henn Mansion for a family brunch of approximately 40 people. Being a hour away & having a busy schedule that week, I was unable to see the space in person. Cherie, the Event Coordinator/Manager of the mansion, made the rental process seamless! I was sent photos of the space & was able to complete the contract & send it back by email! On the day of the brunch, I was amazed! The pictures had not done justice to this gorgeous place! So much character & warmth. Cherie's customer service was exceptional! Cherie made herself available for any questions or concerns that I may have had.The Henn Mansion also has a beautiful lake views! Perfect for an intimate wedding! “We had our wedding here in July 2021 and I cannot say enough good things about Mooreland. We used the gardens for our engagement pictures and our wedding photos, and they are absolutely stunning. From its beautiful antiquated atmosphere to Normandy catering’s quality of food, everything was so lovely. The only reason I am writing a review two years later is because we are expecting our first child in July. I was hoping to take a few maternity photos in the gardens as well. It seems Kathy is no longer in charge of things, and the new manager is not as kind, and would not allow us to use the gardens for that purpose. I was hoping to be sentimental and have our love story unfold in the same place over the years, but this new manager, Tawny, won’t allow that to happen. I’m certain Kathy would have been able to accommodate after I explained the importance of the gardens. Just be aware that if you decide to have your wedding here, you likely won’t be allowed to return and reminisce over the good times. Very unfortunate.”

“OMG!! If you are having an event, look no further…BOOK URBAN PAINT & SIP!! This venue is soooo nice!! The inside is beautiful and literally has everything you need for a nice successful event!! Bar and all!! Booking is so easy and smooth. Having a nice event can be stressful but this is one thing that would be easy and it’s all because of John!! When I tell you he is the most amazing person ever!! I felt like I’d known him forever!! He’s so nice, polite, helpful, kind, funny, friendly…I could go on and on!! I felt like he was in my family. I definitely made a new good friend!! Everyone at my event loved him,(he worked the bar) and guests were immediately inquiring information on booking. They have everything you need!! Sound system was amazing!! This is already a long review and I could go on but I’m just going to sum it up by saying Thank you John and God bless you!! “Rooms are fine except for the bathroom door. It's a sliding glass panel that is extremely noisy and doesn't close fully. This means I wake everyone up, and they hear everything I do in the bathroom. Please put real doors up, and we'll come back!”

“This is a very nice clean hotel and the help that they have there is very nice The breakfast was hot and good The rooms were clean and everything was stocked I really do like this hotel I've been here a couple of other times and it has always been very good I highly recommend this hotel for everyone.”

“They were understaffed at the front desk. The front desk person was dealing with a phone call and the other person who tried to come help didn't have a computer that worked so I had to wait for 10 minutes while the front desk person changed credit cards on two reservations where a parent was obviously paying for their children's stay and wanted to lock down what the card on file could purchase.”

“We stayed at the Four Points the first night of the power outage. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable. What was notable about our stay- whatever man they had working behind the counter the night of August 6th, hats off to you! We watched this man get berated by an absolutely ridiculous customer. He was yelling, cursing and making it near impossible for the hotel to resolve his complaint which in comparison to the absolute crisis the entire north part of the state was in at the time, was a small complaint. The man stay calm and collected the entire time while simultaneously taking care of other guests requests. The staff is top notch, I never would've made it through the night.”
