This would be 0 stars if it could be.1. I called Great Lakes Glass after a referral from another shop on the west side. I asked to set up an appointment and was told they had appointments from 8a - 12p, and 1p - 4p. I asked for 3p when I knew I could be free on a day 5 days out. I was told they schedule appointments from 8a - 12p, and 1p - 4p. I was inside that window so I was confused. She said they don't schedule specific times, just 4 hour windows. OK, that's a bit unusual- all of the other places who have given me quotes for the same work have picked a specific time- but OK. we said 1-4 on Nov 8. I was told I would get a call 30 minutes before the estimator was to arrive.2. Nov 8 - 1PM nothing; 2PM nothing; 3PM nothing; 4 PM nothing. I called the shop and spoke with the owner who was VERY apologetic and promised that, if I would allow it, he would have someone out within 30 minutes. 10 minutes later I get a call from someone who is on his way and will be at my house in 20 minutes.3. He arrives. I don't know his name. He told me he was supposed to be there earlier, but just messed up. He measured and left in 15 minutes, promising an email with the quotes the next day.4. It is now Nov 15. I have had no email, no call, no anything from Great Lakes Glass.If you want nothing- no estimator at the scheduled time, no quote, and no follow up. Call Great Lakes Glass. If you actually want something, I would call anyone else.I will, obviously, not be giving them my business.The owner, Mike claims to have sent me an email on Nov 9. I have checked all my email accounts, spam and junk mail, nothing. I'm not sure where the email was sent, but if I had a customer leave me a review this extensive and unhappy, who never got the email I claim to have sent, I would have called that customer to ensure i sent it to the right place. Again, nothing.

Great Lakes Glass installed glass shower doors at our house about a month ago. We had originally called another glass company. The other company's service tech came out to our house in his personal vehicle, wore street clothes and used a level to check how square the walls were. Our walls are not square and he said that he was not sure if his company even wanted to do the job at our house. Because there are imperfections in the tile and because the walls are out of square, his solution was to use a 3/4" channel along the bottom and side of the fixed glass and use a 1 1/2" header along the top of the glass. This was not what we were looking for. The Great Lakes Glass technician, Mark, drove a commercial truck, was dressed professionally and from the start was optimistic that their company could compensate for the out of square walls and tile variations. He used a laser level and gave me the exact variations that he said could be compensated for by cutting the glass asymmetric. In addition, he suggested we use 76" high glass rather than the standard 72" glass to give the shower a more upscale look. The installers (Joe and ?) laid down blankets on the floor, did an excellent job and cleaned up after themselves. They used brackets to hold the glass in place instead of channels, ground the glass where there were tile variations and did a beautiful job caulking the edges. Take a look at the attached image of their completed work. It looks great.

I took a vintage vanity tray here to have the fractured mirror replaced. No only did they create a new mirror, they also put it back together for me. Reasonably priced and it was ready for pick up the next day.
