I was new to the area and chose this location based on reviews but after my experience, I wish I did not choose this place so I hope I can provide insight for others.1. I was not allowed to attend my dog’s first vet visit during Covid. I don’t know what happened but he now needs muzzled when going to the vet.2. Getting prescription medications from this clinic is a nightmare. I’ve never experienced so much difficulty trying to get medicine to protect my dogs. They require an annual exam to renew medications which I have never experienced at other clinics. There is no explanation provided and the doctor does not return calls. I recently moved out of the area and they will not approve a requested prescription because it would exceed an annual exam by 2 months. With no explanation, this is simply a greedy protocol and not in the best interest of my pet. There are other concerns but those are my major complaints. I wish I sought treatment elsewhere because I really doubt the care and insight that I received here.***Edit in response to the owner. Pro tip, if you want a response, it is faster to write a review than callingThey claim that weight is the concern for my dog’s prescription. However, I have provided my dog’s weight by measuring it at home before and it was not an issue. Now that I have moved, am busy with a residency, and will no longer be attending this vet clinic, this is no longer an option. They offered to sell their own medication to make a profit and for me to spend double what the online pharmacy is charging. ultimately, they would rather put my dog at risk for Lyme’s which he has already had in the past.According to Dr. McKinley's alma mater, OSU veterinary medical center, there is no Ohio law that mandates annual exams. “For a veterinarian to write a prescription for your pet, they must establish a veterinarian-client-patient relationship (VCPR). Each practice can have their own refill policy.”I have complied for 4 years to their annual exam requirement, but she is unwilling to make an exception to the extenuating circumstance for the safety of my pet. Claiming a law that doesn't exist is disappointing and is frankly, borderline negligent.I also did my due diligence and checked the Ohio Revised Code Chapter 4741 for Veterinarians and there is no section stating a requirement for annual exams. I am willing to admit if I am wrong, but everything indicates blatant neglect in an attempt to make a small profit.

I came here because I heard a lot of good things, but in my experience, I was overcharged, and not treated very well. And they make you wait in your car while they take your pets, because they are still stuck in covid mode. Also, the woman at the front desk who takes payments was very rude! But the vet tecs are friendly. So, I paid over $1,100 to have my cats teeth pulled. After she healed, she was having what looked like agonizing pain when she would try to eat. So they charged me $60 for another visit, and charged me for more antibiotics. When in reality, they SHOULD HAVE PULLED ALL OF THE TEETH. They litterally left one tooth and it is still giving her issues and she is in a lot of pain. Now, I have to take her (somewhere else) to have the last one pulled. I don't recommend.

I do not recommend. I feel my dog would be alive today if they acted sooner. I was going along with what the vet prescribed even though nothing was working. X rays should have been done sooner I had to ask for them. When my dog got so bad, the doctor didn't even talk to me even though I had asked to have her call me, She had her tech call me to tell me to stop the meds and take her to the emergency hospital. Then when I had to put down my dog, they couldn't fit me it til 5 days out. Seriously! My dog got so weak she died at the new vet before he could operate on her to remove a blockage. Like I said, if I went somewhere else, my dog would be alive today. She was only 7 yrs old.

The BEST!!!! I adopted a senior kitty who had never been to the vet in his life, and Meadowlands took the best care of him. They treated him for a double ear infection, gave him his first ever vaccinations, and answered my billions of questions with so much patience. Dr. McKinley & the vet techs are so down to earth and knowledgeable. Meadowlands is also affordable and honest about what you should pay the extra dollar on and what you can pass on for your furbabies. Cant recommend this place enough!

Attentive, supportive, empathic, and very knowledgeable. We are very happy with Meadowlands and highly recommend them to every one. A bonus is they accept CareCredit which offers 0% financing options.

I had to make the unfortunate decision to put my old man kitty, Phantom to sleep. The compassion and “bedside manner” of the staff really, really helped make a horrible day a little easier. I felt like they truly understood the pain I was experiencing, and offered the kindest words. They were gentle with my very scared furbaby, and didn’t try to rush me with the very difficult last moments I had with Phantom. They even used a super adorable leopard print wrap over his IV that matched his beautiful, spotted kitty coat.

Meadowlands has always been a decent place to take our pet, but the fact that it’s still “curbside” is insane. This has been going on for almost 3 years now and if they aren’t going to make a change I’d recommend going elsewhere (and I will be). It’s hard to completely trust a business when you have no idea of the cleanliness and the exams that are being performed. With how expensive this is, it’s nice to know what’s actually going on when your pet has an appointment.
