Tracie and Ashley at A Cut Above are fantastic! I’ve had Ashley cut my hair several times and I always feel more confident when I walk out than when I came in! She’s personable, a joy to talk with, and really understands what you’re looking for, even when you can’t exactly articulate what you want! I found Ashley earlier this summer. I was looking for a TALENTED and knowledgeable Hair and makeup artist to use for my High School Seniors that book me for senior photos.
I needed someone that would listen to not only me for photo ready makeup and hair that wouldn’t fall. I needed someone that would listen to my girls.
So far Ashley has “done up” four of my girls and ALL of them have loved Ashley’s personality and her ability to listen to what they wanted for photos.
Finding an ARTIST that listens is so important to my girls!
Ashley is amazing and her communication is just as amazing which to me is super important!

My third haircut with Ashley lasted literally 33 minutes; from the time I sat down until I got back in my car. This included her “consult”, shampoo and conditioner, cut and style dry, and payment.
Requested style: I was growing out for a softer pixie. Any style that I was trying to attain was hacked off by Ashley in her haste to have my appointment completed in thirty minutes. If you want a good men’s cut; maybe she does that well.
If you want someone to take their time to give you a quality cut; look elsewhere!

Tracie is fantastic! She stays up to date on new trends by attending hands on styling and color classes all over the country. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed. She tunes in to your needs and makes great recommendations!

Tracie is a wonderful hairdresser. She takes time and talks to you to learn about your preferences, likes and dislikes. She is very knowledgeable about the scalp and hair products. The hair products she developed herself are fantastic and my thin hair looks and feels so much better. She is a delight and makes your experience to her salon a very relaxing one. If you're thinking of going to A Cut Above RUN don't walk. Tracie does a fabulous job everytime I go in. She really knows her stuff. She always does an amazing job coloring my hair. Going from a Brunette to Blondish this time while keeping my hair healthy, which she knows is very important to me. Thanks for making me feel like a Goddess today! As always Tracie was amazing. I went in not knowing what color I wanted. I normally go lighter in the summer, but the ends if my hair had bleached out and were flat and straw colored. But after thinking for a minute Tracie whipped up her magic and I am now good to go with some Summer hair.

I’m so thankful my sister suggested I come here and see Tracie! I’ve struggled with my hair since I was a little girl and have always felt very frustrated and hopeless - when it came to my hair. I went in for a consultation and immediately booked an appointment. Tracie listened to everything. I felt heard and understood and leaving that initial consultation I had so much hope. And the best part, she followed through. She did her amazing work and I left thrilled with my hair. So so thankful!
