They work as a team and are good to the animals. I donate a lot of blankets, towels, sheets, washcloths and even an occasional heating pad so I have been there about once a month for the past 8 months.

We took 5 kittens in and they wouldn't accept them. They don't take feral kittens. This place is useless!

Im so thankful for such a caring place in such a rough time. I have nothing but good things to say about them . Life savers, litterally and figuratively. Im definitely going to be donating to them .

Defund this company. They are scammers. They pick and choose who to help. A police officer forced my friend to sign a release document to give in their dogs

I had a dog for almost 19 years purchased from a breeder that I lost earlier in 2024. It took me awhile to be ready to own another dog, but I did know that when the time came, I wanted to adopt. I had no experience at all with animal shelters and had no real idea of what to expect apart from the research I did. I was so thoroughly impressed by my experience with Wayne County Humane Society! I found the exact type of dog I was looking for and didn’t waste time moving on to next steps. When the time came to meet the puppy that I would end up taking home, the whole experience was phenomenal. I was so impressed with the cleanliness of the facilities. There was only one dog I had in mind but I did walk through the kennels with the other dogs and they all seemed extremely well taken care of and full of life. The staff was outstanding as well. Paul was amazing and very patient with answering my questions, getting information, and walking me through the process. I’ve had my new little puppy for just over a month and he’s been nothing but incredible and an absolute joy to be around. It seems very evident to me that he was so well cared for. He settled in to his new home right away and even from that first day up to now, I’ve felt that we’ve been, and will always be, inseparable. I’m so grateful for Wayne County Humane Society and can’t recommend them highly enough!

They are not professional, the staff is not on the page with one another. They are not equipped or capable of taking care of cats and kittens, they have to send them off to a better facility even after promising to contact me about a kitten, when it was old enough to be adopted! I'm now heartbroken. They need better training and more compassion! I do not recommend this facility!

We were new pet parents and they didn’t give my kitten the leukemia shot and said they didnt know if he got it and never called to tell us. He ended up dying exactly one month later. We did three vet visits and no one knew what was wrong with him. When we got him he also had roundworms on TOP of leukemia.
