Went in to get diagnosis for what I assume was an upper respiratory infection, they basically asked me what I thought it was and went from there. Then when going to pick up the prescription, they never called in the 2 prescriptions they said I needed, waited for an hour and the pharmacy closed before they even sent the script over. If you need care urgently, don’t go here.

Giant Eagle pharmacies have been my worst experience. Someone always forgets to do their job when I go to pick up whether it be me having to give them my insurance information again, my script isn’t ready that I filled two days ago, etc. And staff is never friendly but always seem annoyed to have to take care of you. Don’t know why I kept using this pharmacy for so long but I’m done now.

Went to pick up my prescription and they said they were out of it.. When pressed on the issue they said they have 1/2 so come back in 20 mins for it. I’ve been back there 3 times over the span of an hour and it’s still not ready. It’s like they just opened and are figuring it out as they go? Mean as could be when asked any simple question, weak

The doctor had sent in a prescription for my son, I go to pick up the prescription and I’m told that the medication is on back order and they have no idea when it will be available??! This is a medication he has been on for years and has refilled it every month. They couldn’t notify me before the doctors office was closed! I signed up for text messages and none had been sent, this pharmacy has really gone down hill.

Who reviews a grocery store? Now I need 57 more words. Well, 51. Wait, 49. Crap! Okay now 46. I mean 43, no 40. Wait! This could take forever!

They just remodeled the whole front end. I'm not a fan of self checkouts, and that's mostly what it is now. Other than that, I frequently shop at Giant Eagle and the perks plus program has helped save me a lot of money in gas!

Went there to pick up my daughters prescriptions that had been called in. I called several times just to see if they were ready before going there and get no answer at all, it just ring and rang. Then I waited on line for over 30 minutes just to bed told that they weren't ready yet, and that's with one of the medications that they were 1 pill short, and wanted to know if I wanted to come back the next days to pick it up, so I said now to just throw it away cuz it was only 1 single pill, so they very rudely one lady said to "Have a seat" and I then waited another 30 minutes and only then found out that instead of throwing away the one pill, they threw away the ENTIRE script!! Omg!! Never again!!

While Giant Eagle prices are a bit higher than I'd prefer, I always find what it is I'm in need of. Most of my grocery shopping is done elsewhere so when they don't have something on my list, I always find success at the Eagle.

No russet potatoes? Let them eat rice! Giant Eagle is normally our go-to for produce. I understand that the supply chain is in shambles presently. But no baking potatoes?! People, potatoes are the reason the ancestral Irish (of which I'm partially descended) were able to quit eating the bark off of trees. Get it together! There are decent potatoes in many other local groceries. I've seen 'em. Still, the store is clean, generally well stocked, and has an above average beer selection for a grocery. (Again, I'm half Irish). Please get some brown spuds in stock, GE!

Really liked using this pharmacy as it was close by. However will be switching to any other that has the best price from now on.Even with goodrx coupons medications have jumped in price. Some examples:$56 to $230$6.26 to $35$13.28 to $34.68Other pharmacies are still charging the lower prices.I have no health insurance thanks to obamacareless. If giant eagle drops the cost of medications I will return, but will leave when they go up. I get rx for a year when possible. Cheaper and convenient.Only other issue is if you have a med on file for say 90 pills plus x2 refills. Then later you get your doc to write a rx for 180 pills ( cost difference with goodrx is $3 for double the pills) well giant eagle will still fill the 90 pill rx first.Have to close out all old scripts that are still valid. Had 1 med packet(month supply) that cost $24(started cost was $13) Realized I could get 6 packs for $42, and later saw 12 packs was $56.So close the old meds you still have refills for before submitting your new rx for larger pill amounts.Shop around and always count those meds when you get home.

The best thing about Giant Eagle in Austintown is The pharmacy staff.
They’ve always been friendly and treated me well and this last week on Monday and Thursday March 10 they went above and beyond what they’re getting paid for to give me some needed help.
I don’t want to get into the particulars, but they are awesome.
I don’t even know any of their names.
Terry Weisenberg and I both thank you!
