Received a bad damaged battery from BCM that was rerouted to me by Wayne. He contacted Jim's Auto Battery to have the battery picked up. 3 times he contacted them; nothing! I contacted them 2 times; got the answering machine and they never contacted me back either. No way to do business. I am going to contact my credit card company and request my money back.

Purchased thru Year One. Took a while to get, but is a great looking battery. So far, works fine. Started the car right out of the box. Charge it when you get it; I had a show to go to, after a couple starts had to jump start the car. Put it on a 10 amp charge for a few hours after that, no problems since. Been driving the car and starting multiple times with no issues.

I purchased a Mopar reproduction battery from these folks 1 year ago. It has failed to hold a charge and is useless to me. I paid around 400.00 for it. I've been calling and leaving messages on the business phone, that is never answered. No one has ever called me back,...seems like I got stung for 400.00.

Their phone number rings once and then gives a "user busy" message, which I have never seen before. I guess that they're too busy to take any of my green, so I'll shop elsewhere.

I've purchased two separate 6/12 custom batteries over the past 26 years, and both of those were very long last units. Tried calling when Covid started and was told 3-4 weeks with full payment upfront $340. I wasn't to comfortable with the man on the phone as he want very personable.Fast forward to this year and called several times with a busy signal each time with no way to leave a message for the folks. They were once very easy to talk with , but it seems something has changed since the last time I purchased from their business.Sad really.

I have read many negative reviews on these folks, so I thought I would post on my experience thus far. It took a bit, but mine is a six volt for a 54 Corvette. Guessing they don't have many six volts on the shelf these days. Probably had to make it. Not cheap, as auto batteries go, but it arrived exactly as it should be. Tested good (with a load tester) and took a charge and maintain cycle on my battery tender. Now to see how well it lasts.

My father in law purchased a R59 battery from Jims Battery in Youngstown, Ohio .Never got to use the battery because it would never hold a charge.Charged the battery per their instructions (used 10 AMP AMG charger and charged to 12.8 volts) and battery would run down just setting. After several phone calls he was told to return the battery. They never contacted him after they received the battery back so he called them after three weeks and Jim said the battery was fixed and was shipping the next day.Never received the battery , called after waiting two more weeks and was told this time that the battery was bad and would not be covered under warranty because it was overcharged. ( which never happened).Terrible way to treat a customer. How can you not honor a warranty. Especially when you were notified of the problem and gave specific instructions on steps to take saying the battery “went to sleep”.Buyer beware!

Reading other reviews shows this is not an isolated incident!

I first had Robert replace a couple of batteries in the truck, not the easiest job. He came on time and got me back on the road. A month later the battery died in dingo mini loader without hesitation I got Robert out again, nothing was a problem great fella to deal with totally recommend him.

Would highly recommend Daniel from Jim's Batteries. Called promptly after my original request was logged, provided a very competitive quote and came out at short notice. A lovely guy to deal with and very knowledgeable of his trade. Thanks Daniel. Will be sure to use your services again in future.
