Took my 2008 Mercedes gl450 to this shop in June 2025 for trans that would not shift out of 1st gear called back in 2 weeks no answer left message no return called. Kept calling every other day finally got call back in 1 month the son said he was driving testing truck out and it was ok and he would call me when they are finished up. Never called me back. A week went by called them again no answer, cut story short they had my vehicle for 3 months , son said I got expired tags and he ran out of gas why’ll he was driving, so finally they say was read truck was not kept inside it was dirty so I didn’t notice and had to put gas in it why’ll I’m putting gas in it older Lou comes out and says is anything wrong which was weird cause he said it needed gas, washed truck 10 minutes later , hood of truck on each side has crumpled up corners by windshield, both hood struts were gone, rear windshield wiper broke off, rear center console popped out, battery under seat placed on top of carpet in compartment. They told me I needed new battery said they did a transmission fluid change $950.00 I called older Lou soon as I saw damages he told me he’s not liable for anything on his lot and I brought vehicle in like that, after 1 month driving truck back in limp mode I never called back cause they will not touch my vehicle ever again this shop is the worst I ever dealt with I will never use them again period I should of known with all the cars in lot, it seems like they flipped my hood open without hood struts and destroyed hood.and truck smelled like gas inside. TERRIBLE PLACE PERIOD
I have pics but not letting me post them for some reason

On 7/13/24 I got my transmission back from Lou Vari ($4971.04) and reinstalled it the same day. I followed his instructions to install and I took it down on 7/14/24 to have him sign off on it being properly installed. A few weeks go by and Im having issues with the truck locking the torque converter and launching the truck forward or reverse on top of the transmission overheating and reaching 230 degrees Fahrenheit. I brought the issue up to Lou Vari and his father Lou Vari Sr and they wanted the see the truck. I brought the truck back down to them and they released it back to me a few days later stating there was no issue and if it continued to overheat and cause problems to let them know. A few more months go by and it continues to overheat and I let them know of the issue and they persisted to call me back in a day or so to see when I'll have a spot available to work on it. The truck gets taken to them again for overheating issues and they remove valve body and can not find any issues so they send it back off to me. On Dec 2nd 24 the truck hit 251 degrees Fahrenheit and I lost reverse in the truck. I contacted Lou Vari and took it down the next day on Dec 3rd, 24. I contacted Lou Vari on Dec 9, 24 and he stated he was working on it. On Dec 10th I got ahold of Lou Vari and he stated the transmission had to be removed and fixed and he was going to charge me an additional $1400 to do so. I tried to contact him and could not get ahold of him until I had decided to drive down in person to talk to him about it. I went down to him on Dec 15th, 24 and tried to negotiate a refund which he stated he couldn't do and I authorized him charging me the $1400 and I told him with the poor communication its hard to trust someone, but I give people chances to fix mistakes. Which at that point Lou Vari Sr gave me his personal cell phone number and told him to get ahold of him on the 16th. I sent him a text message with no response from him. I texted him again the next day on the 17th and called him with no response. He finally got back to me on the 18th and told me he was able to get the truck in as soon as a lift became available. I finally received my truck back January 5th, 25, Paid the invoice of ($1,546.55) drove it home had zero problems. I went out the next morning and the truck instantly went into limp mode and locks itself in 4th gear and throws a transmission code. I returned the truck the following weekend and Lou had to repair the wiring harness to the transmission. I called February 12nd, 2025 and Lou Vari Sr told me my truck was done so I drove down February 13th. When I arrived the shop was locked and no one was answering the phone, after 45 minutes of trying to get ahold of Lou Vari he stated my truck was not done, and told me it would be done the next day. February 14th, 2025 I drive down to pick my truck up and all is well until Lou told me my truck was in an accident and that he was going to compensate me for the damages to the truck. I got 3 quotes and Lou is not responding to calls or texts. I ended up trading the vehicle in as I could not truck his worksmanship and he not staying accountable for his actions.

He charged us 970 for simple part and for the labor of the work and then o really are telling us that he return the part back to the store and he got the money of the part. So we confronted him and told us he already put it on the car which it was lie because we got pic of the refund paperwork and now he saying wait for him to check through this week but that was 7 months and now present he telling to pay 500 buck for extra work. But he refund the part of the vehicle and didn't make sense I thought this dude was doing the work for the money he got after he refund the parts. Even with the cop outside of his workshop he still denied to return the car even with the cop outside. And now we had to pay 500 buck more. Worse workshop ever and biggest waste of time of 7 month

My car has been sitting on the lot for months and it seems business is always closed. Wondering if owner died but I do plan on involving police to retrieve my vehicle.
