I rarely go to Lowes but I gave it a try and went on Thursday February 20th in search of a speed switch for a ceiling fan. I just wanted a basic switch to fit into a standard wall box. The gentleman in that section was somewhat condescending in telling me that technology has changed and that they don't carry those types of speed controls any more. He suggested I try Star Supply and if you are familiar with that store you know they only sell old buyouts and leftovers of many scattered items. This person acted like my house must be from some forgotten time. Funny that Home Depot, Ace, Menards and Handyman Hardware all sell many varieties of these switches. I just stopped in to see what Lowes offered before I made my choice. Will not be returning! Please don't tell me to call the 800 number that's very impersonal. Talk to the man in the lighting department who was working around 1pm on Thursday about how to deal with customers.

Just tried calling 8 times. Can't through the automated pick up service. What happened to human beings? Are they all dead? Do I need to call the police for a welfare check at lowes? I hope they are ok.

Worse appliance delivery service possible. Three days missed delivering. Disconnect and reconnect appliance each time. Three and a half hours waiting each day. A dozen calls to the store, stuck on hold or no answer 6 times. Often no explanation or reasonable explanation.

Bought hot water tank will never do that again. Lowes disappointed in customer service. They will not return w/,o auth from AO Smith. Never again.. Sold a defective product and could not return it within 2 days of purchase . ...beware

Beginning a new year, and still no working refrigerator! Almost 2 months now!
Buyer Beware! Lowe's, Frigidaire, and all these major appliance companies, if they sell you a lemon, they do not stand behind their products. They will leave you without. And these companies are all left unchecked.
Repair guy had been to my house 3 more different times replacing 3 different parts and still don't work. Leaving me, my wife, and kids without!
This is freaking ridiculous. My next move is to call all the local news networks and see if I can bring to light how these companies treat their consumers. I'm half tempted to waste my money on a lawyer and file suit against them.
I understand it's under manufacturer warranty, but I can't believe Lowe's allows their customers to be treated this way. They are the ones selling the product after all!
DO NOT BUY FRIGIDAIRE! Their service sucks.
Since Lowe's doesn't allow their products to be properly reviewed. And I can't review the Frigidaire fridge, I'll just review store as whole.
Bought a complete Frigidaire kitchen set this year, with Lowe's 5 year protection. $1700 fridge completely dead at 7 months. Still under warranty so obviously not Lowe's problem.
Call Frigidaire, Nov 13th, 1st time they had first repair company call me and say they can't even send someone to my house until Dec5, which is completely unacceptable.
2nd call, they get hold of local repair shop, they come out next day, Nov 14th, Say all my boards need swapped. They'll find and order them. Been in touch with them on weekly basis. They still have no parts sent from Frigidaire(Electrolux). And have no idea.
WTF, If I provided roof warranties like this, "sorry sir, your roofs leaking in your house, I'll be out in a month or 2 to fix it", I'd lose all my business.
Meanwhile, it's Dec 8th, and my wife and kids are eating out of coolers, that I have to keep filled with ice.
DO NOT BUY FRIGIDAIRE! Their service sucks.
At this point, I'm tempted to even not support Lowe's anymore.
Edit. I just went on every review site I could find for Frigidaire. Only if I saw them before this purchase. Every site rates them horrible. Lowe's makes them sound so good.

Lowe's is my go to home improvement store. Anytime I need something, I go to Lowe's. I didn't give it 5 stars because Home Depot sends me coupons for 10% off or 12 months no % if you spend 300 dollars. I very seldom spend that much in one visit but if I have to, more than likely I'll go to Home Depot.

Some clerks and cashiers here don't want to answer your questions and get angry easily because they want to get rid of you right away. Better they have training on how to talk and treat customers.

Do not shop at this Lowe’s. August 8th I did a self pick of material I needed for a job. Spent 3 hrs and 5 carts later at checkout to be told it can be delivered next day. Here we are today the 13th still no order. Was told when I went to store that it won’t be delivered till the 16th bc new castle store did not have all that was needed. Meanwhile I hand picked my order had it on carts at boardman lowes. No one knows what happened. No call was ever made to me about the change. What happened to my hand picked order ? I won’t ever shop at Lowe’s again. Home Depot is where I will shop from now on.
