Would have given no stars I spoke with the owner and could have had a more intelligent conversation with a lamppost

I was offered $70 for 1/2caret Gold ring from them, was just curious because I got a $150 offer from another pawn shop ? before hand... Basically a rip off business ?.. definitely get a second opinion before settling or better yet just completely avoid this place ?

Came here mot to sell but to look at their selection of used guns. Wound up finding one I liked and negotiated a price.Saw some other guns I liked but wasn’t sure if the price was good or not for me to jump on it.Easy process, would stop by again.Nice guys, had a problem finding a ride share, told me there was a taxi service right next door, was actually cheaper. Thanks guys

Reading all the reviews of how bad the customers service is, quit being babys, when i first started going there i almost felt the same, but after many years of business and getting to know the employees and owner ive come to understand and get along with them, they've helped me out many times when i was in a pinch and went way beyond and above of what any other place would do. I don't do business with anyone but them now. Understand they work in downtown Youngstown so their useto dealing with a rough crowd as it is so look at it from their side also.

November 2020 by The Suggestion Box Let's Be Honest
Let's Be Honest" Feeling like as a young black man I should have stuck with my first thoughts and never walked into this pawn shop.. I immediately got the feeling of being unwanted there with no greeting but for I'm guessing the "owner" to suggest that I stole something even after I've showed receipt of sale is every bit of discouraging then to be offered not even half of what I paid for them to more than likely sell it for even more than what I paid is screaming in m5 opinion "CHEATS" My Suggestion, don't own a pawn shop if your a cheat because your just a building wasting space. What is your purpose.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. One guy said he didn’t wanna help me because he was trying to close early. What!!? I saw them get into an argument with a guy because he was lowballed and the guy kicked him out and turned his anger on me and the other people in the store. Would not recommend.

I had a great experience there I know a couple of the guys personally but to see them interact with other customers with the same passion and care is a beautiful thing to see.

Terrible staff. If you're not a usual customer or an old creepy guy, they just don't care about you. Try somewhere else.

Not the place to go if you have anything to sell they don't seem to want to buy anything. I've brought several items over the years coins, gun accessories, game consoles they are never buying. I only try them first because of the location but I always end up going to the pawn shops on the Southside. Customer service is a joke God forbid you have a question they act like your bothering them. If they are supposed to open at 10 don't count on it they are always late! I don't know how they are still in business. They should retire and sell it to someone who actually wants to do business in Youngstown. They are burnt out! It's a great location lots of potential just need someone to take over that's not a lazy bum!

Tried to sell me a marlin model 60 for $135. This marlin wouldnt even close all the way because it was so dirty. Marlin 60 is brand new at wal mart for $150. This place is a joke. Everything is so over priced. Do your research if you plan on buying from there.
