It is a dangerous place- not meant for families. Police are regularly called for violence at the entrance and lobby. No security guards, cameras, or metal detectors. The member parking is far away and has no lights.

The customer service at the YMCA is absolutely terrible and disrespectful. I’ve been coming to the YMCA since a child in Youngstown. I’ve been paying member for years with my nephew. I didn’t pay for half a month and they give me a hard time about it and disrespect me The staff and the manager. I don’t appreciate it and I doubt I will ever come back to this YMCA. They got they mom by the way 😉

I am trying to swim everyday until I reach 100 days. Today would have been the 98th day. I called YMCA Youngstown and asked a straightforward and simple question about how late I could use their pool and they claimed I could use the pool until 8:30 pm. This proved to be false. I arrived at 8pm to find the door locked and employees claiming that in fact the pool closed at 8pm and not the 8:30 pm claimed both online and over the phone.
It is extremely frustrating to fail at an 100 day swimming streak 2 days prior to its completion because a YMCA employee could not provide an honest answer to an extremely simple question.

Oh I just love this YMCA!! My SilverSneakers class is the best and the teachers are so sweet! There’s so much to do here water fitness, yoga, cycling, Pilates, and even racquetball rooms !! I really enjoy the women’s locker room for 19 and older with the sauna, it’s just relaxing. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. Such a nice place and a wonderful community!! I also love the different programs they have for children as well.

I love this facility!! The staff and members make you feel like you're part of a family and that's what community should feel like. I particularly enjoy water aerobics and the instructor Al. His class is full of laughter, fun and good music!

Love the YMCA!
Classes:
Jump Stretch with Carl (Youngstown) and Drums with Ali (Boardman.)
For when I want to go solo the equipment at the Youngstown location is top flight too! Everything I need and more.
The chapel is also a must see every visit. Love the opportunity for prayer. Spiritual wellness is as important as physical.
The staff are amazing, beautiful people inside and out!
Thank you God for the YMCA.
