“In short, Barker Transmission is a great place to get transmission work done. If you’re interested in details I have several; Scott Barker was very informative and helpful when I called and was quick to get my 2005 GMC Yukon XL Denali in the shop. There was good communication throughout the process that ensured me there would be nothing replaced on my vehicle without him contacting me first and during that process I learned just how much care Scott and his team put into the work that they do. They focused on all aspects of my car that directly affect the performance of the transmission and not just the transmission itself. The price point was very reasonable compared to a lot of other shops that I called. They got the job done in the timeframe they gave me. And there was simple honesty and transparency all along the way. Scott is straight to the point and very knowledgeable and I feel the end result was worth every penny. After one full month my Yukon is still shifting excellent and performing better than it has in a long time. An all around five star job well done, just how it should be.”

“I was in a bad spot last night and desperately needed a tow. Tossed my fishing pole in for a couple of cast before dark and the car would not start. I tried to use State Farm roadside service, but they were useless. I called the Shop on 28 around 10:30pm. I had been stranded for a couple of hours in a thunderstorm at this point. The dispatcher on call was very friendly and seemed genuinely concerned with my situation. She even offered to pick me up and drop me off at my house. I declined because it would not be safe for a lady to pick up a stranger in the middle of the country! Keep yourself safe! I left my keys in the vehicle and got a ride home from some family members. The tow truck driver picked my car up and dropped off the vehicle at house around 11:45pm. He was very friendly and professional. I never leave reviews but felt compelled to leave one for them. Thank you for you help! If I could leave more than five stars I would. If you need a tow, I recommend you call The Shop on 28!”
