We had to bring in our dog because the care she required exceeded what our vet could do. From start to finish, we were treated with kindness, empathy and respect, and they took better care of our sweet little dog than we ever could have expected. Dr. Heatly went far above and beyond to help us find out what has been hurting the dog and gave us a path to recovery. Thank you, Great Plains Veterinary Services and Dr. Heatly, for a better experience than we ever could have expected.

Took our Pit mix rescue in this morning. Long story short, he is unable to walk properly: especially on hard surfaces. EVERYONE in the office (I can count 5 different workers) that went out of their way to make sure our guy was comfortable and taken care of. They literally rolled out the carpet for him. Very affordable. We have recently switched from a different vet clinic and were shocked at the difference in price based on the severity of the visit. Thank you, Great Plains! Mr. GoodBoy is blissfully unaware that he is a gimp

They are a bit of a drive for me. But man oh man the service they give, makes the drive worth it. They've helped me with a few of my goats. From clipping an ear tag that was cutting the ear, to helping my Nanny who's kid is stuck in the birth canal. They answer your questions without any belittling or making you feel bad. 10/10 I recommend them for all your fur baby needs! They do have handicap spots as well as easy accessibility to the building. I could go on forever about them. Take your fur family here and become part of their family. I promise you'll be in excellent hands!

Dr. Heatly and all the staff at Great Plains are just phenomenal. They're always so kind and welcoming when we go up there, whether we're there for a regular appointment or for a procedure. They don't try to sell us any unnecessary items/procedures/etc. and their prices are reasonable. They really seem to care about the welfare of the animals they work with. Our corgi sustained a leg injury while traveling out of state. The out of state vet clinic prescribed him some pain meds that he ended up having a severe allergic reaction to. We stopped those meds and returned home, but then he was still in pain and eventually stopped eating. Long story short, after lots of testing, trying different foods, and doing everything that Dr. Heatly and her staff could think of (blood work, x-rays, different meds, etc.), we went ahead and opted for an exploratory laparotomy. Obviously, we wanted to save this option as a last resort, due to the expense. The office staff suggested signing up for Care Credit to help cover the surgery expenses. They even helped us fill out the Care Credit paperwork, which I thought was really kind after all we were dealing with (our dog wasn't doing well at all).Well, once Dr. Heatly got in there during the laparotomy, she found a pretty good size blockage that was preventing our dog from digesting his food. We're not even sure what he ate, but it was something that didn't break down in his belly. The leg injury was actually a blessing because, without it, we may never have never found out about the blockage until it was too late. The blockage wasn't really visible on the x-ray. Thanks to Dr. Heatly, our doggo recovered and is back to his normal self. She even took him home to her house for a couple days to watch him when he was struggling to eat and she was having him try a new food, and again post-op when he was recovering, so she could monitor his vitals. I don't know what we would've done without her help!I highly recommend Great Plains! They care. They provide great service. They don't give up on helping your furry family members.
