They are a bit of a drive for me. But man oh man the service they give, makes the drive worth it. They've helped me with a few of my goats. From clipping an ear tag that was cutting the ear, to helping my Nanny who's kid is stuck in the birth canal. They answer your questions without any belittling or making you feel bad. 10/10 I recommend them for all your fur baby needs! They do have handicap spots as well as easy accessibility to the building. I could go on forever about them. Take your fur family here and become part of their family. I promise you'll be in excellent hands!

Dr. Heatly and all the staff at Great Plains are just phenomenal. They're always so kind and welcoming when we go up there, whether we're there for a regular appointment or for a procedure. They don't try to sell us any unnecessary items/procedures/etc. and their prices are reasonable. They really seem to care about the welfare of the animals they work with. Our corgi sustained a leg injury while traveling out of state. The out of state vet clinic prescribed him some pain meds that he ended up having a severe allergic reaction to. We stopped those meds and returned home, but then he was still in pain and eventually stopped eating. Long story short, after lots of testing, trying different foods, and doing everything that Dr. Heatly and her staff could think of (blood work, x-rays, different meds, etc.), we went ahead and opted for an exploratory laparotomy. Obviously, we wanted to save this option as a last resort, due to the expense. The office staff suggested signing up for Care Credit to help cover the surgery expenses. They even helped us fill out the Care Credit paperwork, which I thought was really kind after all we were dealing with (our dog wasn't doing well at all).Well, once Dr. Heatly got in there during the laparotomy, she found a pretty good size blockage that was preventing our dog from digesting his food. We're not even sure what he ate, but it was something that didn't break down in his belly. The leg injury was actually a blessing because, without it, we may never have never found out about the blockage until it was too late. The blockage wasn't really visible on the x-ray. Thanks to Dr. Heatly, our doggo recovered and is back to his normal self. She even took him home to her house for a couple days to watch him when he was struggling to eat and she was having him try a new food, and again post-op when he was recovering, so she could monitor his vitals. I don't know what we would've done without her help!I highly recommend Great Plains! They care. They provide great service. They don't give up on helping your furry family members.

My horse needed immediate medical attention on Christmas eve & Dr Owen's took the time on the holiday to come out and save his life. I will be forever grateful for her. She is truly a Christmas angel! Thank you for your kindness!

We have recently moved to the area and had a minor emergency and they were able to get my pet in immediately and tend to him. The office staff and Veterinary were so kind and helpful. We have found our new Veterinary office. Highly recommend.

Recently switched vets and they have taken very good care of my best girl. Easy to work with, nice clean facility, always very busy but they handle it well.

The entire staff at Great Plains is amazing. Dr. Heatly takes such amazing care of our dogs & cats. She takes her time examining them and takes even more time listening to our questions/concerns and answering them thoroughly. Dr. Parsons & Dr. Maples have always given us great advice as well. They very much care about your animals & work fast and thoroughly to help in every way possible. 100% recommend. I cannot thank the staff & Dr. Heatly enough for how much she has helped us with our animals!

I would recommend this place to anybody. It was so super friendly and calmed my nerves and were very accommodating to my German Shepherd. The girls at the front counter were great. One of the girls names was Alexis. I wish I could remember the other girls name, so I could include her name in this. I will definitely be back for everything my dog needs. You can really tell that they love animals.

I cannot say enough good! I drive an hour to take my dogs here. I have been taking my animals here for 3 years now, Dr. Heatley saved one of them a few years ago. My dog is so happy to see her every time we go, I’m pretty sure he would go home with her if I’d let him. The compassion and care they receive is top notch. I love taking them there. I feel like family. They treat humans with as much love and respect as they do the animals. The staff is so friendly every time we go, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen Taylor without a smile on her face! They always take their time and explain everything thoroughly and answer all of my questions. I never feel rushed, or just like another client. They make it a personal experience. Thank you guys so much for the wonderful care you provide to my fur kids.

Seriously above and beyond. Customer service is tier 1. The receptionist who picked up was authenticity kind and empathetic. Everyone there from the doctors to staff where amazing. I would recommend this place definitely. They understand that it’s not just a pet/animal they’re treating, it’s someone’s best friend or family. I really appreciate them.

Best vet ever. We have problems with our chickens from time to time that we can't handle at home and this is the first vet I've found that can actually diagnose, treat, and care for. Out of 7 I've tried, only this one and one other that didn't really know what they were doing would see chickens. Definitely coming back here if we ever have issues.

Dr. Heatly and the Great Plains team did a great job with our sweet girl’s surgery. The surgical site is so neat and clean and I was really impressed with the professionalism from the beginning. Our experience was better than some human clinics! We just moved to this vet clinic when we moved to the area last summer, and we have been consistently impressed with their work and knowledge.

Last week Kannon got a dental at Great Plains Veterinary Services. To start off, let me preface by saying that I am VERY picky about who I take my sweet Kannon to. She is my world and since I have a background in veterinary medicine, I make sure to ask the hard questions when they check me in.I’m not going to lie, I went to the appointment thinking there was no way the tech who was checking me in was going to know all the answers to my questions… well, she did. This tech answered all my questions about presurgery, post surgery, anesthesia, suturing, and medication FLAWLESSLY. I have never felt so safe leaving Kannon in the care of someone else as I did right then.Coming from the veterinary/animal field, I knew she had not been told “good job” enough. I told her how happily surprised I was with her education and work performance and she immediately teared up and I gave her a hug. She deserved to be told good job. She deserved to be appreciated.Thank you, Great Plains Veterinary for taking such great care of my Kannon & thank you for your hard work and education. ❤️Remember to tell someone good job and that you appreciate them. It goes a long ways - especially in the animal industry. ❤️
